Researchers at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering along with collaborators at the Keck School of Medicine of USC , have developed a low-cost kit called LiFT (lithium fiber-based test) that is an at-home testing for lithium toxicity. The kit, which relies on saliva or urine samples, could be a game changer for over one percent of the global population who rely on lithium to manage bipolar disorder and severe depression.
