Diana is best known for starring alongside Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini in the Netflix hit series Dead to Me, which resulted in Diana receiving an Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actress, and a Sag-Aftra Award Nomination for Outstanding Ensemble Performance. In 2021. Riva starred in the HBO Max series The Gordita Chronicles, as “Adela Castelli”. Riva also starred alongside Eva Longoria in NBC’s half-hour comedy Telenovela. On the big screen, Diana co-starred in Disney’s McFarland, USA with Kevin Costner, Love and Mercy with John Cusak and Elizabeth Banks, and in Disney’s holiday film Noelle with Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader.
Diana recently added “activist” to her résumé, originating the idea of , a group of SAG-AFTRA Latinas who gathered to stand together and picket in solidarity to support their Union. Seeing a need for Latinas in the industry to have a community of empowerment, Diana joined forces with actor Lisa Vidal, and the two nurtured and grew Latinas Acting Up into a meaningful platform, offering industry Latinas support, mentorship, resources, and community, all while striving to raise the visibility of Latinas within the industry.

Santiago Pérez Rocha León joined Prime Video & Amazon Studios in June of 2019 after working in many post-production roles within the Mexican film and television industry. With 15 years of post-production experience, he has been a key element in ensuring the successful delivery and launch of more than 50 projects for the region, working with industry partners re-defining new and existing workflows. Santiago has been a key component to Amazon Studios’ expansion and scaling in Latin America. His deep-seated knowledge of the territory, his relationships, and his ability to navigate throughout the landscape as a subject matter expert speaks to his overall love for his craft and the region.

Veronica Molina is Senior Vice President of News Standards and Practices at CNN Worldwide, where she works to uphold CNN’s brand, journalism standards, and editorial independence. Vero and her team partner with TV, digital audio, and social media platforms to ensure that CNN’s reporting is fair, accurate, and responsible and oversee the global review of sensitive and controversial content, including breaking news, graphic video, investigations, documentaries, and branded content.

Christina Kolbjornsen oversees public affairs, corporate social responsibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I), as well as community engagement and strategic partnerships, and acts as a liaison to the company’s government affairs division in support of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises’ vision to be the voice and choice for Latinos. Christina is an award-winning corporate affairs executive with nearly three decades of experience, Christina is responsible for the company’s award-winning corporate social responsibility program, “El Poder En Ti” (The Power in You), which leverages Telemundo’s fast-growing storytelling platforms to help educate millions of Latinos on critical issues and implement programs that empower Hispanics to make positive changes in their lives and communities.

We are saddened by the passing of Puerto Rican actress and Broadway legend, Chita Rivera. Chita was a member of the original cast of the Broadway production of West Side Story in 1957. In the play, she played the role of Anita, which became one of her most memorable performances. Chita was a three-time Tony Award winner and is widely known as the first “great triple threat” in the history of Broadway.

Cynthia Hudson expanded CNN en Español’s TV & digital operations in Argentina and Mexico and expanded the role of Cross-platform Content across all platforms to continue the brand’s digital and social growth. However, she began the evolution of CNN en Español in 2010 when she took over the helm at CNN en Español and launched CNN en Español’s multi-platform business with expanded feeds for Latin America, Mexico, and the US Hispanic market, as well as revamping the logo, branding, and programming.

Kiska Higgs was appointed President of Production & Acquisition for Focus Features in 2021, after serving as the studio’s EVP since 2016. During her time at Focus, Higgs has been across all of the studio’s films including Kenneth Branagh’s Academy Award winning film Belfast, the Academy Award nominated Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris, and Emerald Fennell’s feature directorial debut Promising Young Woman.

In her book of personal essays titled “American Like Me: Reflections on Life Between Cultures,” America Ferrera wrote about her experience of breaking into Hollywood. She recounts, “The first audition I ever went to, the casting director asked me if I could ‘try to sound more Latina.’” And now, she’s on her way to the Oscars!

Michelle Garcia is currently the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Paramount+, one of today’s fastest-growing brands, overseeing Partnership, Lifecycle and Product Marketing, and Operations. She was instrumental in the launch of Paramount+, across all distributed platforms, and launched numerous first-to-market partnerships, including Walmart+, T-Mobile, and Delta – among others. Before Paramount+, she was the VP of Consumer Marketing for Real Simple, Cooking Light, and Health. She started her professional career in multicultural marketing at TIME magazine and then moved into various consumer marketing roles, including Partnership Director at People en Español. She is very proud to be a first-generation Cuban American.

A nearly 15-year CNN veteran, de Diego has worn many hats both in the field and in the control room. Before being promoted to lead the Wallace team, he was the Senior Broadcast Producer for The Lead with Jake Tapper, where he oversaw the editorial vision and production for the weekday news program for almost four years. During his time on that show, de Diego produced two interviews with Pres. Joe Biden and was the second-in-command during CNN’s robust 2020 presidential election coverage.

In his role as Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs at Paramount Pictures, Jose leads a team of lawyers, paralegals, and other legal professionals in Los Angeles, London, and Paris, with whom he works closely to provide legal and strategic business support on a wide range of matters to Paramount’s International Theatrical Distribution and Content Localization teams. While at Paramount, Jose has also provided legal and business affairs advice to the Corporate, Film Co-financing, and Home Entertainment Distribution teams. Before his time at Paramount, Jose was a member of the Legal and Business Affairs team at First Look Studios and held various leadership roles at the Disneyland Resort.
