Setting the stage for a more vibrant, creative future.

Commonwealth Theatre Center (CTC) is home to Walden Theatre Conservatory and Blue Apple Outreach. The Conservatory is one of the leading programs for youth and pre-professional theatre arts in the United States. Our Outreach brings innovative theatre education to schools and community partners across the region. Under the umbrella of CTC, these transformative programs reach over 55,000 youth and adults each year.

Open enrollment for Fall 2020 Conservatory training begins August 1st, with classes starting August 15th for adult students and September 8th for students 18 and under. Our upcoming semester will focus on pure theatre essentials and developing the theatre artist’s toolkit with the goal of producing a season of shows in Spring 2021.

To continue our Outreach theatre engagement, we’re offering both live and pre-recorded options for teachers and classrooms this semester. Regardless of whether your student is learning in-person or remotely, CTC is prepared to meet you where you are.
