Our summer camp turned into...

Well, a camp!

Our summer campers embraced the great outdoors on an unforgettable backpacking adventure!

They hiked scenic trails to a lake and slept under the stars - these young explorers made memories that will last a lifetime. 🌲

Reminder: Ditch the distractions and get outside!

It's time to ditch the screens and embrace the great outdoors!

Encourage your kids to swap phones and tablets for some fresh air and active play.

Whether it's a game of tag, a bike ride, or exploring a local park, there's no better way to make memories than by enjoying the beauty of the great outdoors together.

Keep your kids energized and healthy this summer with these delicious snack ideas!

Keeping kids safe in and around water is essential for summer fun!

Always supervise children closely, make sure they wear life jackets near open water, and teach them basic swimming skills.

Water safety is crucial to prevent accidents and ensure everyone enjoys a splash-tastic summer! 🌞

From 10:00am - 1:00pm at Lynndale Park, we’ll be reconnecting, playing, and swapping summer stories.

Bring your own food and snacks for a fun, casual day as we gear up for the new school year.

We love spending our days outdoors!

To keep everyone safe from the sun, we apply sunscreen frequently and you should at home too.

Please send your child pre-sunscreened if they're attending any of our summer camps and send them with a bottle of sunscreen for reapplication throughout the day. If they forget, we provide Waterbabies SPF 50 sunscreen.

Summer Camps are happening at Soundview!

Remember, camp runs from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm with drop-off from 8:30-9:00 am and pick-up from 3:00-3:30 pm.

Here's what to bring:
➡️Medications & Authorization Form (if necessary)
➡️Weather appropriate clothing (layers)
➡️A change of clothes labeled with camper’s name
➡️Lunch
➡️Morning and afternoon snacks
➡️A water bottle
➡️Sunscreen
➡️Wheels & helmet on Fridays

Please leave electronic devices, toys, chewing gum, candy, and soda at home.

Did you know that reading over the summer really does make a difference?

For Primary Students:
Aim to read 4 picture or chapter books this summer - it'll keep your minds fresh and ready to learn when school is back in session!

For Middle School Students:
Read 2 new books and complete your vocabulary worksheet for each.

We're looking forward to hearing about what you've read over the summer!

Throwback Thursday to our Field Day that took place before the last day of school!

Our students had so much fun as they participated in various activities - Jenga, Tug of War, SpikeBall, and so much more.

We're so glad they got to share their well-wishes with each other before summer started.

Our summer campers had an amazing day at the beach recently!

From building sandcastles to exploring the shoreline, the kids made wonderful memories under the sun.

What a fantastic way to enjoy the summer!

Staff Highlight: Miss Halle, our wonderful Early Years Assistant Teacher and PM Care provider!

With a lifelong passion for helping children develop and gain confidence, Miss Halle brings her experience as a lead preschool teacher to Soundview.

She may be new to the Soundview family but she's excited to learn and grow alongside our students.

In her free time, she loves sewing, crocheting, and reading.

Our 6th and 7th graders had an incredible time exploring Lynndale Park before the end of the school year!

From learning about nature to team-building activities, it was a day full of fun.

Soundview 8th graders wrapped up their Individuals & Societies unit with an incredible interactive museum exhibit on labor organizing. Their hard work and dedication shone through in every display.

Meanwhile, the 6th graders took their food systems research to the next level by proposing potential school lunch programs in a town hall-style meeting. It was inspiring to see their thoughtful presentations and innovative ideas!

Eighth-grade Skip Day was a blast!

Before the school year officially came to an end, our students enjoyed a well-deserved break filled with fun, laughter, and memorable moments together.
