• Putting out a collection box in your office,
• Setting up a giving tree with tags asking
for Lego's, Baby Alive dolls, teen gifts, sports equipment...
• Taking your scout troop to the store to buy toys for our Holly
Holly House kids
• Encouraging your friends to reach out to their friends, their apartment complexes, their work sites...Doing a toy drive at school...

WE CAN DO THIS.

to shop for free for their children.

Anyone have any ideas, some leads for us?
• A building that looks empty
• A building you heard may become empty
• An old warehouse – We can turn into a shopping wonderland
• A building we might share with someone – Another group?
• If you’re not sure the building will work tell us about it anyway

If we could turn the Sprout’s grocery in Lynnwood last year into our Holly House Event site, while working around the massive amounts of fixtures in the building, , we can do anything

PLEASE SHARE WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW.
Without an event site there will be no toys under the tree for 2,600 kids.

SCHOOL ISN’T ALL ABOUT BOOKS…

Katrina Johnson, One of the Spanish teachers at Lynnwood High School, has spent the last ten years nurturing, encouraging, and leading students who have joined the interact club (a Rotary-sponsored service club for young people, that help them develop leadership skills and make a difference in their community.)

"Our students have enjoyed working with Holly House! They love making the fleece blankets at meetings and knowing that they will benefit our community". says Katrina.

Thank you so much Katrina for encouraging the students to care, to reach out to the needy, to help make sure our 2,600 children go to bed with warm blankets.

This year the students are also doing a toy and teen drive for us. Wow, gifts under the tree…..The students have such big hearts AND A GREAT ADVISOR!

THE SADEST LITTLE GIRL...

Every year, we get many wonderful volunteers. We encourage kids to get involved with Holly House, to learn about other children who don’t have much, whose families can barely survive. This year I got to spend more time getting to know Georgia and her amazing mother, Amy!

GEORGIA WAS DIFFERENT. The longer she was at Holly House, the sadder and sadder she got. Nothing I said or did could coached a smile out of her. She just kept sinking into more sadness. A very sad little girl left Holly House that afternoon (December 2023).

A few days ago (September 4, 2024), Mom sent me some pictures of Georgia, that just blew me away!

After months of thinking “ What could I do to help our Holly House kids”, Georgia came up with a brilliant idea. She wandered into her bedroom and looked at her precious stuffed animals…How she loved them, and they loved her.

“I’m going to pick out my favorite stuffies and give them to the Holly House kids”, she said. “I want the kids to be loved as much as I have been”.

She hugged each of her stuffies and “charged them with love” for the next set of arms.

As she put them into bags to deliver to Sparta’s there was a HUGE SMILE on her face.

THIS IS ONE HAPPY LITTLE GIRL!

for helping your son go through his stuffies, giving the ones he has out grow to needy children. What a great way to teach him about giving.

Often things are hard for our kids at home. Having a stuffed animal to wrap their arms around can make a huge difference.
