Carmel Preschool Ministry
Carmel Preschool Ministry partners with parents to lay a solid spiritual foundation during a child's Preschool years.
Carmel Preschool is the Preschool Ministry of Carmel Baptist Church.
Need a rainy day/night activity? Have a Daniel Dance Party with this special song written by our own team! We’ve been singing it over the last few weeks so ask your Preschooler to teach it to you! Can everyone make flames with their hands, knock down a statue, write on a wall, and roar like a lion? **Bonus: Tell your child that Pastor Alex has been teaching YOU about Daniel in Worship, too! Have each person in your family share something they’ve learned from the book of Daniel !

This past Sunday, Preschoolers heard the story of King Belshazzar and the mysterious handwriting on the wall! Ask your Preschooler what they remember from the story. Who sent the hand to write the message? (God!) Who was able to tell the meaning of the message?(Daniel!) Can they tell you in their own words what the message meant? (Numbered, Measured, Divided—Belshazzar didn’t measure up and his kingdom would be divided!) Did the words come true? (Yes, that very night!) Stay tuned for one more story about Daniel coming up this Sunday, November 17!
This past Wednesday night, Preschoolers at learned about Hope & Heat—and got to see for themselves just how helpful a safe heat source and cooking stove would be to a family without power or heat. We warmed cold hands by the heater (it can heat up to 1500 square feet!), ate Rice Krispy treats made on the stove, and prayed that these units would deliver hope and heat to many families in Western NC who are in need of both. Check out some pictures and video from Wednesday night and consider giving to the Hope & Heat Fund. You can give at the link in our bio or at https://onrealm.org/mycarmel/-/form/give/HopeandHeat
SWIPE to see the BEFORE & AFTER! Use these pictures to talk with your Preschooler about yesterday’s story of Daniel’s friends and a fiery furnace. Can your child name what’s different in the two pictures? Who was the fourth man in the fire? Usually, fire changes things. But in THIS story, the flames were powerless! Remind your child that God’s power is strong enough to rescue and save!
As we approach the Christmas season, Carmel Preschool Ministry and Carmel WEE School are partnering together to raise funds to supply a *specific* SAFE propane heater and cooking burner to families in Western North Carolina. This heater and burner will allow families to safely stay warm and cook meals for their families this winter. Each full unit costs about $300 and includes the heater itself as well as a cooking burner, hoses, and propane tank through our supplier. To give towards the cost of one of these units, visit https://onrealm.org/mycarmel/-/form/give/HopeandHeat or click the link in our bio!
It’s time to learn our Hide & Seek Verse for November! As we enter a season of giving thanks, this verse is a timely reminder that we can choose to present our concerns to God with a heart of thanksgiving! Each week, we’ll practice this verse and learn more about what these words mean for us today!
Good morning everyone! Today we get to hear a story about a time when God came to Elijah. There are lots of sounds in this story—rain, wind, even a whisper!—which one will God use to speak to Elijah? Join us to find out!
If you’re ready for a mountain-top showdown in the Wild West, get ready to hear the story of Elijah on Mount Carmel! You can join us over on Facebook @ Carmel Preschool beginning at 9:40 (or rewatch anytime!)
Let’s Play Hide & Seek (Verse Edition!) Review the October verse but make it into a game using these fun variations! // 1. You say the verse but leave out a few key words and see if your child can fill in the blanks // 2. You say the words and your child has to show the motions // 3. You do the motions while your child has to remember the words! Have fun with God’s Word!
Home, home on the range, where things in Israel are…strange? Today we’re stepping back to the Wild West and learning about a time when God spoke to His people through prophets like Elijah! Join us to hear how God provided for Elijah during a scary time!
It’s October—and time for us to learn a little more from Philippians 4:4-9! This verse is all about gentleness! The motion for “gentleness” is a slow, gentle pat on the arm. Remind your Preschooler that just like we gently hold a baby or gently pet an animal, we should also treat people around us with gentle kindness and love. Let’s learn this verse together—and don’t forget your child can visit our Verse Table every week to add a gentleness sticker to our chart!
Good morning, Preschool families! Today we’ll visit the construction site one last time and find out about a big mess in Israel! Join us to hear the story of a divided kingdom, a broken-down temple, and one good king who helped make things right!
Good morning! We’ve been building the kingdom of Israel all month and today, we’ll find out how King Solomon built something really special…the temple!
It’s almost Sunday which means another opportunity to practice speaking God’s Word! Friday Afternoon Fun: Show this picture to your child and see if they immediately begin saying the verse from memory! (We think they will! 🤗) Make sure to swing by the Verse Table on Sunday to add another sticker to our chart!
The kingdom-building work continues today as we hear a surprising story about a scared king, a man-in-hiding, and a piece of fabric! Join us to hear about King Saul and David!
Who’s ready to add their name to our Hide & Seek Verse Chart? Stop by the Verse Table tomorrow so your Preschooler can say our September verse and add a sticker to their name on the chart! (Also, rest assured that it is OKAY if your Preschooler doesn’t know the verse perfectly yet…we are always ready to help! When you stop at the table, it’s another opportunity to practice God’s Word with your Preschooler—and we celebrate every time!)
1-2-3, it’s time to Hide & Seek—let’s Learn, Practice, and Celebrate God’s Word together! Stop by the Verse Table this Sunday to pick up Hide & Seek Verse cards for your family and make sure to follow along on social media for monthly verse videos!
