Midweek Review🤩
▪️This week we focused on standing strong💪, which we see from the story of Elijah and the prophets in 1 Kings 18. Elijah chose to stand strong
when faced with the prophets of Baal. He trusted God even when everyone around him doubted. No matter how others around us live or what they trust in, we can stand strong in our love for God. Before school each day this week, pray for your kids to stand strong no matter what comes.
▪️Take 1️⃣ day this week to ask these 2️⃣ questions and spend 3️⃣ minutes talking about them:
❔️What are some places and situations where you can stand strong for God?
❔️How can we help grow our stand-strong-for-God muscles?
▪️Family Discipleship:
"For you are a holy people belonging to the LORD your God." Deuteronomy 7:6a
Standing strong in our culture isn't always easy. Our workplaces, social media feeds, and even our communities can be filled with who doubt, argue, or flat out don't believe. But as we grow in out faith and our relationship with God, we see that He's called us to be set apart. We aren't set apart for the sake of being strange or different, but we are set apart to point others to God by the way we speak, act, and live. Be encouraged that you area holy person, belonging to the Lord, set apart for His great plans and purpose.
CarmelKidz have been working on memorizing Isaiah 53:5 leading up to Easter!
This verse is an important reminder as to what Jesus did for us!
Don't Forget: VBS Registration is open NOW! We still have some room for our 1st-3rd graders! Our CarmelKidz will take a "journey with Jesus" through Galilee where 80% of His teaching took place. This is going to be a special week that we don't want your child to miss out on, so sign up now!
VBS will be June 10-13
❕Weekly Challenge Reminder❕
We are all still learning and have questions about the Bible, that's why we are encouraging our CarmelkKid to ask questions. Make sure to let your small group leaders know that your CarmelKid completed the challenge.

◼️Lesson Recap
In the story of the good Samaritan, we can see that God’s love is for everyone. All people are important to God and should be important to us too. It can be easy to forget that certain people in your life are worthy of God’s love. This week, talk about people in your lives
who may be hard to love. Take time to pray together as a
family, both for those people to know the love of God and for God to give you a heart of love for them
◼️1-2-3
Take 1️⃣ day this week to ask these 2️⃣ questions and spend 3️⃣ minutes talking about them:
- Has there ever been a time when someone showed you God's love?
-What are some ways we can show people God's love this week?
◼️Family Discipleship
God's Love was revealed among us in this way; God sent his one and only Son into the world so that we might live through him. 1 John 4:9
The story of the gospel is God showing his love for us in an unimaginable way. God sent his Son, Jesus, to die in our place and take the punishment for our sin, because of Jesus, we get to bein a relationship with God, It is a gift we don't deserve and will never be able to repay. God's love for you is nothing you can earn. You are worthy of God's love because of who He is and how much He loves you.
◼️ Missions Madness is in full swing with our CarmelKidz! They are still learning about the Gant's and Guyana. Keep an eye on your email for updates about next weeks Midweek!
❕ Weekly Challenge Reminder ❕ It is important for us to look back on our lives and remember the times God has loved and cared for us. We often forget and can get stuck when something bad happens. Looking make and making a timeline or list will help remind us that God has always taken care of us!
Midweek Review🤩
This week with No Limit, we learned that God’s love never gives upon us.
The story of the lost son in Luke 15 gives us a great reminder that, no matter what we do or how far away God may feel, God’s love never gives up on us. This week, tell your kids a story about a mistake from your past—silly or serious—and point out that God’s love has never given up on you and will never give up on them.
Take 1️⃣ day this week to ask these 2️⃣ questions and spend 3️⃣ minutes talking about them:
- Who can we encourage this week?
- How does the story of the lost son help us remember God’s love never gives up?
We also started our March Missions Madness this week talking about our Carmel missionaries, Steve and Gina Gant, in Guayana🇬🇾. Our Carmel Kidz got to pray over the Gants and hear a little about what they do in Guayana. We cannot wait for them to learn more!
Here is your weekly challenge reminder! We want to encourage each CarmelKid to use their skills to glorify God!

▫️We are meant to know God. One way God shows us Himself is through the Bible. The Bible is God’s true message to us about Himself. We learned about an Ethiopian official in Acts 8 who
read God’s Word and came to know and follow Jesus. This week is a perfect week to create new rhythms and habits around reading the Bible. Just a few minutes each day can show us more
about who God is!
▫️Take 1️⃣ day this week to ask these 2️⃣ questions and spend 3️⃣ minutes talking about them: Why do you think the Bible is so important? What is something you want to learn more about in the Bible?
▫️“The LORD is God; there is no other besides him.” (Deuteronomy 4:35b)
Many people wish they had better rhythms around reading the Bible. It can feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day or that we don’t know where to begin. The amazing thing is whether we read the Bible for 2 minutes or 20 minutes, God can show us more of Himself every time. We are meant to know God, and He continues to show us more and more of Himself through the world, the Bible, His Son, Jesus, and His people. So take the time today and this week to read the Bible and watch your relationship with Him grow.
Here is your weekly challenge reminder for the week! If you're child is ready to give their life to Jesus, or already has, we encourage you to sign your family for First Steps! We have a March class coming up soon!
Midweek Review🤩
▫️This week, kids learned that God shows us Himself through His Son, Jesus. God sent His only Son to live a perfect life, die for our sins, and show us who God is. John 3 tells us a story about Nicodemus and how he learned more about God because of his conversation with Jesus. This week, try and have a conversation about Jesus every day. Watch and see how you and your kids
will know God more.
▫️Take 1️⃣ day this week to ask these 2️⃣ questions and spend 3️⃣ minutes talking about them: What
do we notice is the same in both Jesus and God? Why did God send His Son, Jesus?
Don't forget the weekly challenge this week! We are challenge our kids to think of ways they can be generous with others. Don't forget to let your child's leader know if they completed it!
Midweek Recap🤩
▫️Who do you know that has chosen to follow Jesus? Take a few minutes to ask them to share their testimony, or the story of how they came to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, with you.
▫️Take 1️⃣ day this week to ask these 2️⃣ questions and spend 3️⃣ minutes talking about them: What do you love most about what God has created in the world? In what ways do you see God’s creativity in nature?
▫️When looking at the world🌎️ around us, we see how incredible God is as Creator. As a family, take turns acting out something in creation (suggestions include animals🐒, mountain🏔️, trees🌲, and so forth). The rest of your family will try to guess the creation! Point out that our amazing God created all those things.
❕Weekly Challenge Reminder❕
Hearing how our brothers and sisters in Christ came to know God is a way to help connect us with other believers. So challenge your kids to ask other believers how they came to Christ!
Midweek Review🤩
We are secure because God controls our future. That is good news! Jesus’ followers, Paul and Silas, were in prison and had no idea what was to come. Yet they chose to worship God and put their trust in Him because He is in control. This week, talk together about the hopes and dreams that you have for the future. Then pray and thank God for what is to come — whatever it may look like!
Take 1️⃣ day this week to ask these 2️⃣ questions and
spend 3️⃣ minutes talking about them: When we feel worried, what can we do? How does the truth that we are secure change how we live?
Take time today to pray🙏 as a family — talk and listen to God. Pray these four things:
1️⃣. Thank God for being powerful and in control of everything.
2️⃣. Ask God to help us remember that He is unshakable and
in control of the future.
3️⃣. Pray for one another.
4️⃣. Choose one or two people who are going through a difficult time. Pray that they would know and believe that God is in control.
Weekly Challenge Reminder! Everyone needs a little encouragement sometimes, and that is our challenge to our Carmelkidz! Don't forget to tell their small group leader if they complete the challenge!
Midweek Review🤩
This past week was wild with our true Bible story from Mark 4. We saw how God controls the world when Jesus spoke into a storm and stopped the wind and the waves. God is the Creator of the world, and He controls the world. You can thank God for snow to play in, rain that makes your flowers grow, or a beautiful sunset that paints the sky. Think about the world around you this week, and praise God for being in control.
Take 1️⃣ day this week to ask these 2️⃣ questions and spend 3️⃣ minutes talking about them: What are some things we see in nature that remind us of how God controls the world? How can the truth that God controls the world encourage us?
Friday Family Fun: ABCs of the World Work together as a family to go through the ABCs and name something in the world that God created to match each letter of the alphabet. (for example: W for wind)
Here is our unit bible verse! We challenge our Carmel Kidz to memorize the verse, try learn it with your CarmelKid!
