Susan Kizzee is the manager of McMerton Community Gardens of Binghamton, a 4-city-plot garden started 18+ years ago by folks from Idlewild Presbyterian located near the corner of McAdoo & Merton in Memphis, TN.
*
The produce goes to the nearby food pantry as well as to our youth volunteers' families (primarily from the refugee community).
*
One of the lots hosts a perennial garden with primarily figs and blackberries. Another is entirely asparagus! And, the main 2 lots house a wide variety of herbs, veggies, fruits and flowers.

What a lovely surprise to see Experience Memphis Gardens, mentioned in this year's 30th anniversary book of Garden Walk Buffalo. Shoutout to my fellow garden walk friend and flinger, Speight for your story. Thank you, Jim Charlier for your words of encouragement, wisdom, and suggestions as we've grown our walk through the years. Garden Walks are the bomb.
