Today marked our first time competing at the Wisconsin Highland Games, and we are thrilled to announce that we placed **2nd overall**! We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the event staff and the Midwest Pipe Band Association for organizing such a fantastic competition. To all the bands who competed today—great job, and congratulations to the winners!
Remember, it’s not always about taking first place; it’s about putting your best forward every time you step into the circle. Today, no one fell down, no one got hurt, and everyone gave it their all. That’s what truly matters. We're proud of our performance and look forward to the next challenge!
Thank you for your continued support! More photos and videos to come!

In the heart of the Mid-South, where blues and barbecue reign supreme, a different tradition has quietly taken root, adding to the rich cultural tapestry of Memphis, Tennessee—the vibrant and storied heritage of the Celtic Arts. For those who have heard the haunting drone of the bagpipes or the rhythmic beat of the drums echoing through our city, the significance of these ancient sounds is undeniable. They aren't just instruments; they are living links to a culture that has transcended time and geography.

While the band is gearing up for the Wisconsin Highland Games this Saturday, we're already looking forward to returning to the Middle Tennessee Highland Games to compete in two weeks! This year in Hendersonville we’ll be performing a scaled-back competition set that will feature several of our new juvenile players stepping into the circle for their very first band competition!
This set is designed to help these young members comfortably enter the competition environment and start building their pipe band experience. We can't wait to watch them shine as they take the circle in Middle Tennessee!

During their time at the school they received some amazing education from Jon Quigg and Hannah Boyles. Tenor drummer Tonya Henry Culver and snare drummer Knox Chaney had an amazing experience and are already looking forward to returning next year!
This weekend, we had the incredible opportunity to work with Adrian M Melvin from Melvin Reeds. Adrian helped us set the perfect tone by setting up his reeds in our band’s new MacLellan Bagpipes chanters and fine-tuning our sound.
While in town we had a chance to introduce Adrian to some Memphis staples at Bog & Barley and Central BBQ.
A huge thank you to Adrian Melvin for his invaluable assistance and dedication to the art of piping and to Wake and District Pipe Band, Joe Brady and MacLellan Bagpipes for helping setup this all up!

At the Memphis Pipe Band, we are incredibly proud of our young members who exemplify dedication, passion, and an unwavering commitment to their craft. Their achievements are a testament to the bright future of our band.
A special shoutout to our snare student Cole Tyree, who recently showcased his talent during a show and tell session at the BHSU HealthCORE Middle School Summer Camp hosted by Baptist Health Sciences University.
We also want to congratulate William Scigliano, another outstanding snare student, who placed 1st in his solo contest this weekend in Chicago. William's dedication didn't stop there—he continued practicing even during band events the next day when he didn't have to play.
These young musicians remind us all of the importance of dedication and passion. Students like these are the future of the band, and their commitment to excellence is an inspiration to us all.
