We have the right to say out loud: I carried a weapon in defense of the country. While I did go into direct battle, I carried a weapon nonetheless. And those types of weapons have ABSOLUTELY no place in the streets of our communities.

The battle over whether we went to battle, is no battle at all. We served, trained and was prepared to go to battle if required.

The dump team should find something else to beed about. There is no dog in this hunt.

As we enter a New Year. I’d like to encourage us to seek God for specific instructions for 2018. As he downloads them into your heart be sure to write them down!!

Listen for specific details; try and capture key words and phrases as they will be a glimpse of your new life.
As the year goes on be sure to keep praying and listening in case he has to redirect you or add to what he’s already given you. Once you’ve written everything down be ready to move when he tells you to move and keep moving in the direction he tells you. And before you realize you’ll be walking in your destiny-

A Question of Faith!

We sometimes confuse being blessed with the idea that we won't have to endure or be exposed to any type of hardship!

My wife and I went through a stretch of 3-4 years that seemed like God wasn't concerned with our hardship. From depression, to a house that was intent on falling apart, as well as losing funding for my Non-profit to name a few things.

My faith in God remained intake, but my walk definitely changed drastically over time. I started to question everything about my faith!

God is not through with me yet, or ever will be for that matter! I now see purpose in the process of becoming the man God needs me to be! Out of that situation I am one year away from get my bachelor's degree, we have moved to an area(Downtown) me and Teresa always talked about staying in. Yet we honestly never dreamed of being in a position to do so. Our marriage is being restored day by day from the effects of those trying years.

I am truly learning that God can use all of the trying things life throws at us! They have the power to conform us into Agents of Change, with the power to speak into other people's situations! My word to you is, embrace those circumstances which cause you to question your faith. Through faith on the other side you will find a stronger and more courageous version of yourself! Don't give up!

Do Not Be Afraid

"…an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. ‘Joseph, son of David,’ the angel said, ‘do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit.’"
(Matthew 1:20, NLT)

Have you ever felt overwhelmed or even afraid of what God has called you to do? Maybe you were pursuing a dream or goal and things didn’t turn out the way you planned. Joseph had planned to take Mary as his wife, but when he found out she was pregnant, he didn’t know what to think. He was afraid that he might be making a mistake because things didn’t turn out the way he planned. But God sent a messenger in a dream to reassure Joseph that he was on the right path.

Today let me reassure you that God knows right where you are, and He knows how to get you to where you need to be. Even when things don’t go the way you planned, His hand is on you. Do not be afraid. Trust that God is working behind the scenes on your behalf and that He will lead you into the life of blessing He has prepared for you.

"Father in heaven, I choose to trust in You. Even when things don’t go the way I planned, I know You are at work in my life. Thank You for Your perfect love which casts out all fear. I love You and surrender every area of my life to You in Jesus’ name. Amen. "
