Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow that can make it. Planning on cooking some hotdogs (and a pile o’ bacon for Archer). We got volleyball ball and a bunch of stuff to hand out at the meeting afterward!

At our state conclave, our chapter has been honored with the Smokey the Bear award for most positive growth this year! Our State Master Counselor gifted a wilderness hat that may hang in our chapter to celebrate this honor. 🏆🌲 This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all our members.

Additionally, I am especially proud to announce that Kayden, our Master Counselor (and also happens to be my son) has been awarded the DeMolay of the Year! 🐻👏 He received a beautifully carved bear as a symbol of his outstanding leadership and commitment.

This moment is a reminder of the amazing journey we've had together. Words cannot express how proud I am of these young men and especially my son. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. Here's to continued growth and even more achievements in the future! 🌟

Unfortunately, due to extenuating events beyond our control, we are canceling the DeMolay meeting today.
There is still a blood drive happening from 11-2, please feel free to come participate in that and earn time towards your merit bar, but we will not be having a meeting.

Happy Juneteenth, DeMolay brothers and friends!

Today, we celebrate a significant milestone in American history - the day when freedom and equality were finally extended to all. On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce the end of slavery, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. This day symbolizes freedom, resilience, and the ongoing journey towards equality and justice for all. Just as DeMolay is built on the principles of brotherly love, relief, and truth, Juneteenth represents the triumph of these values over oppression and injustice.

Let us honor the courage and perseverance of those who fought for their freedom and recognize the ongoing pursuit of a more just and equitable society. May the spirit of Juneteenth inspire us to continue upholding the virtues of DeMolay and working towards a brighter future for all.

Thank you so much for everyone that could make it out this evening for our first annual Mother’s Day Dinner hosted by the squires of the Midtown Manor!

As always, thank you to Park Avenue Lodge for allowing us to host the dinner and special thanks to Mom and Dad Thomlinson for providing all the wonderful food!

Had a great time at Collierville #152 Masonic Lodge F&AM making sandwiches for the community! We were able to make 650+ with everyone's help (amazing). Thank you to Collierville 152 for allowing member of Lynn Skinner DeMolay Chapter and the Midtown Manor to help!

# Meet the Voice of Wisdom: The Orator of DeMolay

In our previous posts, we talked about the officer structure and the benefits of DeMolay, Today, we want to introduce you to another one of our officers, the Orator. 🎙️

The Orator is the speaker and educator of the Chapter. He is responsible for delivering speeches, lectures, and instructions on various topics related to DeMolay, Freemasonry, and life in general. He also assists the Master Councilor in preparing the agenda and the program of the Chapter meetings. He works closely with the other officers and members to ensure the proper understanding and appreciation of the ritual and ceremonies.

# Meet the Master of Ceremonies: The Marshal of DeMolay

In our previous posts, we talked about the officer structure and the benefits of DeMolay, the premier organization for young men. Today, we want to introduce you to one of our officers, the Marshal. 🎖️

The Marshal is the master of ceremonies of the Chapter. He is responsible for conducting the floor work, introducing the guests, and escorting the new members. He also assists the Master Councilor in maintaining order and decorum during the Chapter meetings. He works closely with the other officers and members to ensure the proper performance of the ritual and ceremonies.

The Marshal is more than just a master of ceremonies. He is a symbol of courtesy and dignity. He represents the need to respect our guests, our candidates, and our brothers. He also reminds us to be graceful and confident in our actions and words.

He also handles the correspondence, reports, and forms of the Chapter. He works closely with the Treasurer and the Advisory Council to ensure the smooth operation of the Chapter.

The Scribe is more than just a record keeper. He is a symbol of diligence and accuracy. He represents the need to document our history and achievements. He also reminds us to be honest and transparent in our communication and transactions.
