Belvedere Chamber Music Festival | Jun 19 | Daily Memphian The 18th annual Belvedere Chamber Music Festival (belvederefestival.org) will be held at Grace-St. Luke’s Episcopal June 19-22, 2024. Concerts are Wed.- Sat. at 7 and Fri.-Sat. at 3. Free admission
The first prize winners' concert from this year's Beethoven Club Memphis Young Artists Competition will be Sunday, June 2, at 3:00 at the Beethoven Club. Admission is free and it is open to the public. First prize winners who were not able to be a part of this concert will be appearing on Beethoven Club events later in the year. The winners of Luna Nova's 18th annual Composition Contest will be widely announced tomorrow. We had 194 entries from 30 countries. The three winners will receive cash prizes and live performances and recordings at this year's Belvedere Festival June 19-22. Congratulations to these great composers!

Join us for this great concert from the Memphis Youth Symphony Program!
Spring Concert with the Memphis Boy & Girl Choir, the Memphis Chamber Choir, and the Training Choir, April 28, 5 p.m. The Memphis Boy & Girl Choir presents their end-of-the-year concert and are joined by the Memphis Chamber Choir which returns after many years of not singing and features William Walton, Jubilate Deo, Anton Brukner, Os justi, Paul Christiansen, My song in the night, and Shawn Kirchner, Brightest and Best with violin. The Training Choir of 1st & 2nd grade will also sing two of their favorite songs of the year.
This will be a great concert for people those interested in children's choirs. It is free and open to the public.

Grace-St. Luke's Episcopal Church will feature a concert by organist/composer David Briggs called "one of the world's greatest contemporary organist" by the New York Times. Here is some information from his remarkable biography:

The concert is Sunday, April 14 at 6:30 at Grace-St. Luke's, 1720 Peabody. It will last about 70 minutes with no intermission and is free an open to the public. There will be a reception afterward. Please come and bring your friends!
This is the 51st year that the Beethoven Club has sponsored this event. This year we had 93 entries, more than we have ever had before. Thanks to all the teachers, students, judges, BC volunteers and parents for coming together to make all this work!

Is there some dependable place near Central Gardens that could deliver lunch for a small group--box lunches or something simple. Holiday Ham is gone and apparently Panera doesn't do deliveries any more.
