Cooking Works is a series of curriculum based cooking classes where you will learn ways to choose and prepare healthy foods within your budget.
We are offering classes either on Monday or Wednesday beginning September 9th.

The 2024 South Memphis Farmer’s Market is coming to an end. Today is our last day. Make sure you stop by and get your fresh and locally grown produce. We’ll be here from 8 am to 1 pm.

Our last South Memphis Farmer's Market for the season is this Thursday. Stop by and shop the last harvest for the market.
Our very own, The Works Urban Farm, will be bringing over fresh jalapeño peppers, cherry tomatoes, eggplant, onions, purple hull peas, and zucchini.

The Mobile Grocer is rolling out today! It will be parked at Renaissance at Steele at 1441 Renaissance Drive from 11 am to 3 pm. It is fully stocked with all of your grocery needs so you don’t have to go far from home or work.

With our new construction builds on North Watkins, our housing team is working closely with the regenerative team to integrate native plant landscape designs into each home we build.

Our President and CEO, Roshun Austin wears many hats. Last week, she put on her hard hat and hosted city officials from Jackson, TN at Northside Square as the developer of the adaptive reuse development project.
Additionally, she took our guests around Klondike to bear witness to the work we are doing to address home ownership and food inequities with our new construction builds and The Mobile Grocer.

The Works, Inc. was awarded a $600,000 grant from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency’s Trust Fund for the redevelopment of the former Peachtree South Apartments in Frayser.
The award will provide additional subsidy for 16 future tenants of the $14 million new construction of the 79 unit senior housing development.
