Cortney Richardson is a transformative leader and CEO of Peer Power, an organization dedicated to educational mentorship and workforce development. As a founding tutor, he helped expand and restructure Peer Power’s programs, forging partnerships with Memphis public schools and the University of Memphis. Since becoming CEO in 2022, Cortney has increased organizational capacity, launched an out-of-state location, and implemented a successful workforce development model. He also leads ACT Prep University, a tuition-free program that boosts student ACT scores. Beyond his professional work, Cortney is a pastor, an international gospel singer, and a dedicated mentor known for his positive impact on youth and communities.

Tim Ware is a seasoned leader and a 2016 Presidential Leadership Scholar with nearly 25 years of experience empowering Black youth through education and leadership programs. He has founded two public schools and led high-performing urban charter schools, including his current role as Executive Director of Memphis Grizzlies Prep, an all-boys charter school affiliated with the NBA franchise. Tim's work has consistently delivered impactful results, and his insight is sought after on National Advisory Boards. He holds a B.A. from Cedarville University and studied Corporate Governance at Columbia University.

Tyrone Adam Burroughs grew up in Lane, SC, and graduated from Benedict College at just 19. After a diagnosis of Retinitis Pigmentosa during his military service, he returned to school and met his wife, Nelda. In 1987, he founded First Choice Sales & Marketing, which became a leader in the multicultural personal care market. He also chairs several businesses, including Burroughs Restaurant Group and The Burroughs Foundation, which focuses on closing the wealth gap in communities of color. Tyrone has been honored with numerous awards, including an honorary doctorate and the renaming of Benedict College’s School of Business in his honor.
