This year’s 18th hole at CoutureCarestn charity golf tournament will be dedicated to Deputy Chief Bobby Todd. Thank you Karren D Todd for becoming a hole sponsor in memory of your father.

Deputy Chief Bobby E. Todd (March 1943 - March 2024) grew up in LeMoyne Gardens and his phenomenal basketball skills afforded him the opportunity to leave the neighborhood schools and attend Father Bertrand High where he graduated in 1962.

Deputy Chief Bobby Todd served on the Memphis Police Department for 33 years from 08/14/1972 to 09/6/2005. During his tenure with the department, he was assigned to Uniform Patrol South Precinct Alpha Shift, Lieutenant in Uniform Patrol and Investigations, Major at East Precinct Bravo Shift, and Inspector at South Precinct and Traffic. On November 16, 2004, Inspector Todd was appointed to the rank of Deputy Chief of Special Operations until his retirement on September 6, 2005.
Even with Bobby's demanding career, he never lost his love for competitive sports. He played basketball for the MPD team and later coached the team to win several championships. He later picked up the hobby of golf after his basketball years and played in tournaments across the United States.

Mr. Bobby was known to be tough but fair. His quick wit and colorful language made conversations with him all the more enjoyable and entertaining. Mr. Bobby loved his family and enjoyed cooking and hosting family gatherings for EVERY holiday.

A 15 year dj veteran, DJ Kevia has djed for actor Leon (Temptations as David Ruffin & The Five Hartbeats as JT) and his reggae band Leon and The Peoples & actor Michael Jai White (Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married 1 & 2 as Marcus & Spawn) just to name a few. She is the only female dj on the 2023 TN Radio Hall Of Fame inducted radio station WQOX 88.5 FM, where she started in 2017 and has two radio shows: Saturday Night Live (7PM -9PM) & Sunday Inspiration (8AM - 10AM). DJ Kevia has the longest running radio show in Memphis as a female dj outside of the Legendary Big Sue.

She is a co-founder of the SheDjs of Memphis, the DJ for Couture Cares nonprofit organization and the house DJ for 901 LIVE. In September of 2024, DJ Kevia won Female Dj of the Year at the Memphis Elegance Awards.
