✨ Meet Akira, a bundle of joy who has been at the shelter for almost a month and is eager to find her new home or even a foster home soon. Recently, Akira spent some time with a shelter volunteer who got to know her delightful personality.

She said Akira is the funniest girl you’ll ever meet, always ready to bring a smile to your face. She’s a playful spirit who loves her toys and proudly shows them off. During their time together, she hopped around with joy, taking breaks for treats, which she accepted very gently. Akira is easy to entertain; a squeaky toy can keep her happy for hours.

This sweet girl also has good manners. She took care of her business as soon as she went outside and then wanted to head back in when it got a bit hot. In the playroom, she wasted no time finding toys and having a blast. 🥳

She is estimated to be 3 years old, weighs 39 pounds, and is heartworm NEGATIVE! What's more, she is spayed and microchipped, so she is ready to leave the shelter as soon as you complete the adoption process for her. She could go home with you today! 🥰

🐶 Meet Horseshoe, a smart, friendly, and well-behaved dog who is eagerly waiting to meet his new best friend. ⬇️

Horseshoe impresses everyone with his good manners. As he walks past the kennels, he greets other dogs calmly, even when some bark at him. He knows how to sit on command and loves getting treats as a reward. When his human companion sits, Horseshoe stands next to them, leaning in for affectionate dog hugs. 🥰

🌟 He seems to be potty trained since he does his business outside and keeps his kennel clean. Inside, he listens attentively and stays close, even when walking past several people. His curiosity shines through as he loves looking out the window, observing the world around him.

He is estimated to be 2 years old, weighs 56 pounds, and is heartworm NEGATIVE! 💕

One of our staff members recently spent time with him and fell head-over-heels:

"Scotland is the chillest guy we know! This big-headed fella is very calm both in and out of his kennel. He was easy to leash up and, despite his stockiness, a breeze to walk! Out in the yard, he sniffed around and checked his pee-mail, making sure to come back for cuddles periodically. He sits very nicely for a treat and even got some nice zoomies! He seemed very interested in the neighboring dog and wanted to play. Scotland would sometimes chase the tennis ball too. Overall, he's a chill fella who would love a home of his own!" 💕

He is estimated to be 1 year old, weighs 61 pounds, and is currently heartworm positive. We will help you and your private vet treat his heartworms following adoption though!

SEARCHING FOR CAT FOSTERS! 🔎

We have so many cats and kittens in need of foster homes that we couldn't fit it all in one picture!

Our cat kennels were FULL yesterday, and we could really use the help of our cat foster parents in taking care of them. We will only be getting more. 🥹

We have several moms with kittens, several singletons, and some small litters of just kittens as well. Kittens without moms will need to be fostered in pairs or in sets of three if there is only three in the litter.
