Meet fellow downtown workers and enjoy the sunshine in the Third Ward during Downtown Employee Appreciation Week! We'll see you in Catalano Square, friends 👋
A beautiful night of Kayaking, sponsored by Historic Third Ward through Clearwater Outdoor at their Milwaukee riverfront location. You enter right across from the Milwaukee Public Market, down to the dock area. It's clearly marked! I haven't been on a kayak downtown in years and years, which is silly. (Of course, there are lots of ways to be on a boat in Milwaukee, that's just one of them). I hope you have as much fun as I did - date night for me, but a great way to be with friends or just be with yourself and the world.

Sometimes we just feel exhausted and need someone to jump in and take over. But really, we don't want them to take over, we want them to take PART. We want to be seen and heard, we want to trust. We want to be ourselves, in full exhaustion mode.
We want to not have to handle all the care.
So, as an acupuncturist I say --- Try acupuncture!
Just wanted to share way to use herbs from your garden that can be frozen and used later in the year, shared and gifted. What have you tried for preserving an herb bounty?
++ I save breads and glutens for special occasions since I am sensitive, so a compound butter on a muffin or fresh bread is next level. But compound butter on fish or garden vegetables is drool. Or well... I won't talk about holiday meals because I am trying to stay in the moments of amazing summer. So here we go! Compound butters from Organic Valley
Rootstock | You Have to Try These Breathtaking Compound Butter Recipes | Organic Valley Compound butter is the combination of herbs, spices and sweeteners to create spreads and add flavor to already delicious butter. They are easy to create.

Hey folks, if you are looking for some delicious cafe drinks, you have to check out the BizStarts Community Market. It's near the intersection of 1st and Pittsburgh. My fav drink is Cafecito Sin Cafe. But their post shows a beautiful drink that looks like a sunset.
I like working there on my computer, as well as having small meetings there. If you haven't been, definitely check them out.
Citrus in the City🍊✨

Reviews are funny, sometimes. A 5 star review sometimes comes when people are feeling excited and empowered and inspired in their health. I did kind of downplay my role to this patient in a way. Because it's true, sometimes the endorphin release helps a person to feel like they are firmly in their flow. And it feels really good to them to be at ease! Because often, they can't even remember what it feels like to be pain free or symptom free. And you know what? For those with chronic conditions, they are so out of practice in feeling good that they can't even notice when they do because their brain is so busy looking for the other shoe to drop. That's why it is WONDERFUL when a patient is at the point when they feel well enough LONG enough to notice the nuances of getting better. And move into staying better (or in some cases, a new normal that they can handle). I love being together with them in these spaces. What a gift!
Easy and effective qigong videos that are targeted to specific body parts, health conditions and even videos that help us align with the natural world (Taoism and TCM center this).
+++These are recorded virtual classes shared through the Wyoming AARP. The instructor is pleasant and full of helpful tips! https://states.aarp.org/wyoming/qigong-with-nate Videos with passwords are listed.
There are a bunch of individual techniques you could grab from the videos, usable throughout the day, such as to help the digestion or to ease a discomfort. For me, I love qi gong for its symbolism and how smooth movement feels afterward. To say nothing of how breathing feels! Try a few minutes of qi gong in the morning to help you wake up gently!

I thought I might share with you an article on Daoism and climate. But then I thought, I will share a page that links to many articles on different religions and ecology, from The Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development. https://interfaithsustain.com/religion-and-ecology-articles/ There are lots of options if you care to read about how various faiths may perceive our human responsibilities when it comes to our planet.

Just thought I would share my happy work feelings
💚 the people who come to the office
💜 the problem solving we do together
💚 that when they want to sit back and solve zero problems and just be treated (no decisions, no talking, just acupuncture on the table) I can do that. Gratitude for their trust!
💜 my little office and the nice people in my building
💚 the connection over the years with the people I treat
💜 that this field is so interesting, that it is rooted in how the natural world works, and that my is never bored with any of this!
Go get some verbena Plant Land this year!
Lemon verbena is an herb I love (you can poach chicken with it and garlic- yum!).
In combination with other herbs, we use it in TCM in a few ways. Some examples include: digestion (nausea, bloating, constipation) and mental health and wellness (anxiety, insomnia).
🌿Spring- we can’t wait for you much longer!
Self treating while I run around today. These little gold dipped are helping with and from a long drive to Florida. I needed some and threw these on. It’s staying with me in between and treatment. My favorite upper body 10 min work out does wonders, too.
🌴 I often add these for patients after a session to support them until their next appointment. That’s why I love acupressure. I also do auricular acupuncture fairly often, and always when supporting people who are working on and (NB if patients are working on drug and alcohol addiction, I need to have a release form signed to communicate regularly with their addictions treatment professionals).
