TODAY, August 20, is Election Day and is the last opportunity to vote in the Primary Election. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters must cast their ballot at their assigned polling location. Voters in line by 7 p.m. will have an opportunity to vote.

REMEMBER: Voted Vote-by-Mail ballots must be physically returned (not just postmarked) to the Supervisor of Elections office by 7 p.m. today, Election Day.

All registered voters, regardless of party affiliation, can vote on issues and nonpartisan races.

Check your sample ballot online at the Collier SOE Office website, if the races you wish to participate in are not there consider making a party change.

Any voter who wishes to change their party affiliation must do so by today's deadline - Monday, July 22 - for the change to take effect for this year's August 20th Primary Election. Link in Bio.

Here is an idea of how a voter's ballot may appear for the Primary Election depending on their party affiliation:

A voter registered as a Republican may only vote in Republican and nonpartisan contests.
A voter registered as a Democrat may only vote in Democratic and nonpartisan contests.
A voter registered as No Party Affiliation (NPA) may only vote in nonpartisan contests.
