Help Save My Dad's Heart, organized by Teegan Brown 01/04/2024

URGENT: We are reaching out to the Outdoors For Our Heroes & Got your 6 Fishing community for a very urgent and important request.

It is our turn to support someone that has helped so many! Jason Brown, Founder of OFOH and former President of the organization is battling heart failure and needs our help. Please consider supporting the GoFundMe account set up to help him and his family cover medical expenses to seek treatment for his condition. You can read more about the details on the GoFundMe page. Jason and his family have given so much to this community over the years and OFOH would not have been able to help so many without him.

Please consider donating today:

Hello friends and supporters of Outdoors for Our Heroes and Got Your 6 Fishing.

I wanted to give our Founder and now Past President, Jason Brown some grace in announcing his official role change with our organization. His vision, along with a host of volunteer supporters, has built an amazing organization that has helped so many deserving veterans over the past seven years. While he's no longer serving in an identified active role as part of our 501c3 non-profit, he remains committed to OFOH in an honorary support role going forward. He has indicated he will continue helping with fundraising activities, and occasional hunt support opportunities as he is able. He is truly committed to our motto, "Gratitude for Sacrifice ", as am I.

Some of you may know that I am also an original OFOH Founding Board Member, and most recently Vice President. Prior to that, I held the office of Secretary and several stints as our Banquet Chairman over the years. I have been intimately engaged in the creation of the organization since its inception. I know what it takes to continue growing and be successful with your continued support. I am honored to take this opportunity to help ensure we can continue to provide so many meaningful experiences for this incredibly deserving community.

This change comes with several other executive and general Board member changes and additions that I am excited to say ensures we have a clear path forward for success. If you are interested in knowing more about those details, please reach out or feel free to attend an upcoming meeting. We have a strong volunteer base to perpetuate our mission together as well.

I hope you will continue to remain a part of this great organization through your generous donations, support for our annual banquet and auction, and most certainly as a valued participant through our hunting, fishing, and outdoor programs.

Subject: Resignation as President of Outdoors for our Outdoors For Our Heroes

I am submitting this post to formally submit my resignation from my role as President of Outdoors for our Heroes. It is with mixed emotions that I make this decision, as the past seven years leading this organization have been incredibly fulfilling and rewarding.

When we first embarked on this journey, our vision was to make a positive impact on the lives of disabled veterans and their communities through our shared passion for the outdoors. I am proud to say that, together, we have achieved remarkable success and made a meaningful difference in the lives of countless individuals. Reflecting on our journey, I am grateful for the unwavering support of our dedicated team, volunteers, and the broader community.

Through our collective efforts, we have been able to provide vital assistance to disabled veterans, offering them opportunities to experience the healing power of nature and fostering a sense of camaraderie that extends beyond our outdoor adventures. It is truly heartening to look back on the various initiatives and projects we undertook, whether it was organizing outdoor excursions, community events, or partnering with local organizations to enhance the well-being of those who have sacrificed so much for our country.

The impact of our work has been tangible, and I am confident that Outdoors for our Heroes will continue to thrive and grow in the coming years. As I step down from my role, I want to express my gratitude to each person who has contributed to the success of Outdoors for our Heroes. Your dedication and passion have been the driving force behind our achievements, and I am confident that the organization is in capable hands.

I will always cherish the memories and experiences we shared during my tenure. While I may be stepping away from my official role, my commitment to supporting the mission of Outdoors for our Heroes remains steadfast. I look forward to witnessing the continued success and impact of the organization in the future.

Thank you once again for the privilege of serving as Founder and President. It has been an honor to work alongside such dedicated individuals, and I am excited to see the continued growth and success of Outdoors for our Heroes.

Sincerely,

Jason brown
