Child Care Action Council Invites You To Celebrate 1 Year of Free Books for Local Kids Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library - ThurstonTalk The Child Care Action Council is celebrating its one-year partnership with the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Thurston and Mason counties with their Early Adventure in Learning event on May 21, 2024, at South Puget Sound Community College.

Thanks to a generous grant from Olympia Education Foundation and a dedicated Roosevelt teacher, we’re proud to introduce our newest student enrichment program! Track Stars is a running & walking program that encourages kids to get their heart rate up and have something fun to do at recess. AND this is a great way to help them gear up for our 5K in June!

We need your help though! In order for kids to earn charms for their laps, one volunteer per recess is needed to help them scan their cards. Recesses are about 20 minutes long. You can volunteer just once or sign up for multiple recesses. Learn more and sign up here: https://shorturl.at/eCPX2.

Note* before volunteering, you must have completed Olympia School District volunteer background check (don’t worry - it’s quick and easy to complete).
