Merry Christmas Eve Core Community! I hope this finds each of you, happy, healthy, around loved ones to have time to rest and reflect. It's been three months since we closed the space we all gathered, the space that created a community that is so unique and special, the space that now has each of you as ripples out in the world using our intentions, our connections and your way of being to share light, love and peace. This Christmas Eve, before I get to see my parents (since they moved here yay!), I think of you all, what Core has planted in my life....those seeds of gratitude, trust, joy and awe. Happy Monday Core Community!! Thank you ALL for so many wonderful emails, texts, phone calls and thoughts that I have received since I shared the email of the studio permanently closing last Friday. I apologize to some of you that didn't get the message and I am doing my best to reach out to Power Life in making sure you have next steps to continue your membership. I know there are other options for you....I just wish you all to land on your mat around the area with our wonderful community.

We made a difference when Baptiste Yoga was brought to Overland Park in 2013....each of you are the ripples in our circle to continue our practice and teachings.

Happy Fourth of July. This has been my favorite holiday for many years because it's a holiday with family gatherings, BBQ, lake fun, fireworks, parades, games and sun time. Happy 7 Years to Core Energy, to our amazing community and to our transformative practice. From the beginning before construction, I knew what was possible....I just wasn't aware of that possibility changing my life how it has over 7 years. We have had times together and recently times apart. We have lost and we have transformed. We have laughed and cried. We have share sweat...and lots of it. What I do know today, is that we are connected, through our energies, how we have met and how we continue to hold space for each other. Thank you each of you, for all the moments and even those in between ;) I love you and from Aiden, Addison and I we are grateful and send peace, joy and hugs to you all. xoxo Susan

Hi Core Community....we have had technical difficulties with zoom and virtual classes this weekend. Tomorrow June 1st, the 6am virtual class and the 12 virtual class are cancelled for us to troubleshoot. We will still have the IN STUDIO classes at 6am and noon and hoping to have everything up and running for virtual at 4:15pm. Thank you for your patience and support. Enjoy this DAY!!!

As we start to open up...You do You, I'll do me. That's what America's about. None of us have the same circumstances (medically high risk child/family member or a business about to go under, etc.). Let's all stay in our own lanes and keep the judgment down as we begin to reopen. No one should feel pressured either way.
Just a thought...As governors are trying to figure out how to ease back into normal, please remember:

🛑 Some people don’t agree with the state opening...that’s okay. Be Kind.
🏡 Some people are still planning to stay home...that’s okay. Be Kind.
🦠 Some are still scared of getting the virus and a second wave happening...that’s okay. Be Kind.
💰 Some are sighing with relief to go back to work knowing they may not lose their business or their homes...that’s okay. Be Kind.
👩🏾‍⚕️Some are thankful they can finally have a surgery they have put off...that’s okay. Be Kind.
📝 Some will be able to attend interviews after weeks without a job...that’s okay. Be Kind.
😷 Some will wear masks for weeks....that’s okay. Be Kind.
💅🏻 Some people will rush out to get their hair or nails done...that’s okay. Be Kind.
❤️ The point is, everyone has different viewpoints/feelings and that’s okay. Be Kind.
We each have a different story. If you need to stay home, stay home...But Be Kind .
If you need to go out, just respect others when in public and Be Kind!

Don’t judge fellow humans because you’re not in their story. We all are in different mental states than we were months ago. So remember, Be Kind and be aware. Aware that others may have your opposite prospective and even with that. Be Kind.

Attention Zoom Users and Virtual Class Takers....there is a mandatory Zoom upgrade that needs to be done by May 30th 2020. This is what it reads:

When:
Beginning May 30th, 2020, Zoom will be enabling GCM encryption across the entire Zoom platform, providing increased protection for meeting data.

What:
Please update all your clients to Zoom 5.0. After May 30, 2020, all Zoom clients on older versions will receive a forced update when trying to join meetings as GCM encryption will be fully enabled across the Zoom platform.

Your class sign in and cancellation policy at Core

Hi Core Yogi's!! As a reminder, keep signing up for classes! Right now there are no "walk in's" at the studio, however, there is a drop in pricing option you can purchase for a single class if you would like. Also, please remember there will be a $20 no show fee for IN STUDIO classes and cancellations must happen 12 hours before the class you are signed up for. This is a policy we will continue until we can increase our capacity. Thank you for understanding and see you all soon! We still have tonight's 4pm virtual class with Katie and 5:30pm virtual yin with Heather. We are utilizing zoom for virtual classes and you should get a link for the class in an email once you sign up for class..check your junk and spam too ;) IF you don't get the link, reach out to me directly and I can check your account 913-980-5273 text is best!! First day back and I met the studio doors this morning with so much love and support.

Core Community....you are THE BEST!!! Words do not express my gratitude and today I had many speechless moments while teaching....which doesn't happen often ;). As I shared with students today, it may "look" different, but wow does it feel the same to see you all practice, come into the space and feel the heat together as we move and breathe. Thank you for these moments, thank you for your support in donations, visits, memberships, notes, texts, phone calls, words and moments....and with that, rest yogis so we can meet again tomorrow!!
