Yes, Facebook and Instagram experienced an outage today. According to reports, services on these social media apps were restored after being down for more than two hours, affecting thousands of users. The issue was widespread, with nearly 20,000 users reporting difficulties in accessing Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp at the peak of the outage. The number of outage reports decreased to less than 500 by 6:30 p.m. ET. Meta, the parent company, resolved issues with Meta's Ads Manager as well, which is an advertising tool that allows brands to buy and create ads on Facebook. The problem with the Ads Manager platform was identified as the cause of the outage, affecting users globally
