Kids Reading to Succeed
Kids Reading to Succeed (KRS) literacy program uses reading as an educational platform to empower at-risk youth in Pasadena and Los Angeles.
KRS currently works with the youth of the following organizations:
-Students and Tutors Achieving Real Success (an afterschool program in Pasadena developed by the Lake Avenue Community Foundation)
-Union Rescue Mission (a homeless shelter in Los Angeles and one of the largest rescue missions of its kind in the United States)
-Villa Parke Community Center, a city-funded community center in Pasadena

Another fun KRS Saturday with children's author Kait Walsh. Reading a couple of her books including, "Don't Cry Duck." Lots of energy, fun and creativity. Thank you to our volunteers.
