In 2023, WQA launched an online PFAS Portal with resources geared to educating dealers about PFAS and how to talk to their customers about it. The portal features videos, consumer-oriented handouts, scientific documents and other information, and it was updated in April to reflect the EPA's new PFAS regulation. At 95 miles long, Sistema Sac Actun is the world’s longest underground river. The waterway in Quintana Roo, Mexico, was discovered to be the world's longest in 2007, a distinction previously believed to belong to the Philippines’ Puerto Princesa Subterranean River.

2. “Major of Study Related to Potable Water Quality Scholarship” will be awarded to an individual who is pursuing a major that supports potable water quality.
