How proud we are of our 2024 Dixon Learning Academy & Western Learning Center graduates!
Early Childhood Education is a crucial part of GPCA’s mission to break the cycle of generational poverty and lead the future of our communities toward greatness.
As our scholars take their first steps toward kindergarten, we are confident in their preparedness for the next levels of learning.

The Bridge Educational Foundation, through the support of Raymond James, donated $32,500 of scholarship money to benefit families with children enrolled in Dixon Learning Academy and Western Learning Center. The scholarship will fill important gaps in childcare monies. Scholarship funds are made possible through Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development - Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program.
Anthony Hardy Williams was in attendance to help with the presentation of the check to Greater Philadelphia Community Alliance. GPCA CEO Otis L. Bullock Jr. was present to celebrate the many families who will benefit from help with paying for childcare. The office of Rep. Jordan Harris was also on hand to congratulate GPCA.
GPCA’s Early Childhood Education Centers (Dixon Learning Academy & Western Learning Center) both held their Back To School Night events last week. Engaging our families, with fun and educational activities, was an important part of the festivities. Teachers and staff shared some of the exciting lessons presented daily to our young scholars.
Learning through play is a true joy for the children we serve. For more information about our ECE Centers, please call:

The entire GPCA family is saddened by the passing of Ms. Delores Harper.
Ms. Harper served as a volunteer at our organization for over 35 years. She diligently performed her role at Dixon House with heartfelt dedication and love, touching countless lives in the process. She truly made Dixon House feel like a home.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Ms. Harper’s family and friends at this time. She will be truly missed.
Today our scholars at Dixon Learning Academy shined brightly as they graduated to kindergarten. There was loads of educational entertainment and scholastic spectacle as our students put on a showcase of everything they have learned during their time with us.
We know in our hearts that their success will transcend beyond the amazing skill and talent that we all saw today. Here’s to their future as they prepare to lead the way!
Thank you to all of our teachers and staff who made this day possible. And a special “Thanks” to Principal Austin Wallace and everyone at McDaniel Elementary School for hosting us.
It’s that special time of year at GPCA, when our Early Childhood Education Centers hold their annual graduations!
Today, our Western Learning Center Class of 2023 moved forward to kindergarten. Our scholars celebrated with their family, friends, and guests cheering them onward to futures full of great success and promise for the next generation. We wholeheartedly acknowledge and appreciate all of the hard work and dedication from our teachers and staff that made this day a reality.
A very special “Thanks” to Senior Pastor Michael W. Dyson, and everyone at the Ebenezer SDA Church in Philly, for hosting the event as well as providing special gifts to our graduates.
We learn through play, and celebrate through play as well!
Last week, Dixon Learning Academy held their “Bow Ties & Tutus” Move Up Day Sneaker Ball at GPCA’s Dixon House. This year’s class danced, ate, and played the afternoon away with their fellow classmates (in their finest apparel) as they await graduation to kindergarten next week.
