Philabundance

Philabundance was founded in 1984 with the simple belief that no one should go hungry. A Feeding America food bank.

Philabundance distributes food through partnerships with over 350 member agencies in 9 counties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In addition to food distribution, we strive to reduce food waste, increase access to nutritious meals, and tackle the root causes of hunger through programs such as the Philabundance Community Kitchen.

We’re thrilled to share that we've received a $200,000 "Fly Beyond" grant from the Wawa Foundation! This generous grant allows us to enhance access to healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for children in our nine-county service area.

Thanks to the Wawa Foundation, we're relaunching our Kids’ Snack Program, focusing on healthy grab-and-go snacks for kids. Partnering with over 30 K-12 schools, this program will support up to 2,250 families! Some of the snacks include shelf-stable items like whole grain cereal bars and applesauce, as well as fresh options like bananas and house-made hummus from the talented chefs at Philabundance Community Kitchen.

A huge thank you to The Wawa Foundation for helping us nourish children in our region! Together, we can achieve more!

In Philadelphia, more than 30% of children experience food insecurity. That’s thousands of children, but even one hungry child in our communities is one child too many.

For two more days, you can help make twice the difference for families in need with a gift to Philabundance. Thanks to a group of generous donors, all gifts will be matched to help children and families in need—up to $100,000—until midnight on July 31.
