Blockchain isn’t just finance. NFTs enable music royalties, gaming metaverse, and digital artwork. Blockchain identity enables social networking applications, privacy, and COVID vaccine passports.
Our main differentiator from other clubs is that, in the blockchain industry, since everything is super early, decentralized, and open-source there is huge opportunity for grassroots communities like university students to have a tangible, real-world impact. Rather than say, doing a stock pitch in the circle of a small club meeting, Penn Blockchain members can find themselves leading public discussions on adding new features to Uniswap ($30b crypto trading application), publishing research for large companies with tens of thousands of Twitter followers, or interviewing Mark Cuban.
