Last night our Staff and Volunteers responded to a 2nd Alarm fire in the City of Philadelphia. While on location we provided blankets, gloves, hand warmers, and hot drinks to the first responders and to the families that were affected by the fire. Earlier today our staff and volunteers participated in the 40th anniversary of Delaware 1 Blue Knights Toy Run. Our crew served hot chocolate to the men and women who came out and donated toys.
On behalf of the Salvation Army our EDS department would like to send our thoughts and prayers to the Philadelphia Police Department and the officers who was involved in tonight’s shooting.
On Monday our EDS staff responded toan All Hands fire with a Special Call in the southwest section of the city. While on location our staff provided snacks, cold drinks, cold towels.and to those that was operating on scene. We also provided pizza due to crews being on scene for an extended period of time. Yesterday our EDS Team unloaded a tractor trailer filled with 20 pallets of 1,048 cleanup kits, to help with keeping materials on standby for floods in our divisional area.
Last night our staff and volunteers responded to this house fire in the North Philadelphia section of the city. While on location crews assist with rehab support and assisted those who was affected by the fire. For the last two days our staff and volunteers have been in Bucks and Berks County assisting those impacted by Sunday's rainstorm. And a big thank you to some additional help from the Boyertown Canteen and from the Reading Corps for supplying some additional manpower and equipment as this event continues to spin up.
Last night our staff and volunteers responded to assist Philadelphia Police Department with hydration during a barricade subject and Philadelphia Fire Department with hydration while they operated at a garage fire.
Earlier today our staff and volunteers responded to the frankford section of the city to help provide rehab support to Philadelphia Fire Department and Philadelphia Police Department while they operated at a fire in this high heat. While on location we also assist those who were affected by the fire with cold waters and snacks.
This morning our staff and volunteers responded on the second alarm fire in the south Philly section of the city. While on location crews assisted the Philadelphia Fire Department with rehab support, we also provided cold drinks and snacks to those that were affected by the fire.
Yesterday our staff and volunteers responded on the 2nd alarm fire in the north philly section of city. While on location crews provided cold waters and ice towels to the first responders. We’re always glade to assist Philadelphia Fire Department Philadelphia Police Department Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management with whatever needs they have.
Our staff and volunteers responded to the china town section of the city today to assist Philadelphia Fire Department with rehab while they operated on an apartment building fire. Also while on location our crews handed out blankets to those who were affected by the fire.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Pennsylvania State Police during this difficult time.
The Fraternal Order of Police #62 mourns the loss of Pennsylvania State Trooper Jacques F. Rougeau, Jr., who made the ultimate sacrifice on June 17, 2023.
Trooper Rougeau, age 29, lost his life in a manhunt for an armed subject that had shot and seriously wounded Lieutenant James A. Wagner an hour earlier.
Trooper Rougeau enlisted in the PSP in 2020 as a member of the 160th cadet class. At the time of his passing, he was assigned to Troop G, Lewistown in Juniata County.
May our God bless and comfort the family, friends and fellow brothers and sisters of Trooper Rougeau as we mourn his profound loss. We pray for continued safety for all those in Law Enforcement.
Earlier this week our staff was out teaching CPR, First Aid, and AED.
This past Sunday our EDS staff and Volunteers responded to the tanker truck fire. While on location our crews supported with rehab and provided over 100 plus meals to the Philadelphia Fire Department Philadelphia Police Department Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management and other agencies.
Our staff is currently on location at Corrections Facility with Philadelphia Fire Department Philadelphia Police Department providing rehab support while they operate on a Hazmat Box.
