Empower Minds, Heal Hearts, today is celebrating 🧠💚
💚 Why it Matters: Mental health is an integral part of overall well-being. By addressing mental health, we can improve the quality of life for individuals, families, and communities.
💚Take Action: On , consider taking these steps to support mental health:
1. Start Conversations: Talk openly about mental health with friends, family, and colleagues. Encourage them to share their feelings and concerns without judgement.
2. Self-care: Prioritize self-care and mental wellbeing. Practice mindfulness, engage in hobbies, exercise, and get enough sleep.
3. Seek help: If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health issues, encourage seeking professional help. There’s NO SHAME in reaching out to a therapist, counselor, or mental health expert.
4. Raise awareness: Share information about mental health on social media, attend local events, or participate in mental health campaigns to help reduce stigma and increase awareness.
5. Educate yourself: Learn more about mental health conditions, treatments, and available resources in your community.
As always, is here to help 💚
October is awareness month. There are a plethora of reasons why someone would stay in an abusive relationship, nonetheless it isn't any ones right to judge. What are some other reasons why? Let's discuss ⏬

Janelle came to the organization during her time at Temple and has such a desire to help, whether that’s through her own means or resources. We are so proud Janelle!!!🍾🎊🎉
“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to have received an education, let alone surrounded by inspiring and motivated peers at Temple. The combination of my majors truly impacted me to begin thinking more critically about the systems around us and how they can be improved for people of all backgrounds. I'm very excited to take the next steps into the field of social impact through policy reform and other efforts. Though I do not yet know where I will work, I am committed to learning, listening, and working hard to be a community advocate & ally in any context. Thank you Project S.A.V.E for setting a great example of this and establishing leadership for important missions & new projects!”
Please help us celebrate and congratulate Mia, who has just graduated with her Masters in Clinical Social Work!! Mia came to the organization during her undergrad years and has been a true help at the organization. We wish her nothing but success! Let’s go Mia!!!🍾🎊🎉
“I’m so grateful to be graduating in a field that I am passionate about and aligns with my values. With my degree I aim to elevate and empower people and their communities by promoting and fostering love, kindness, motivation, acceptance, and healing. Along with continuing my work with Project SAVE, I will be working as an outpatient therapist with survivors of trauma in Center City, Philadelphia. I hope to heal Philadelphia’s communities one person at a time. Thank you for reading.”

In honor of both Domestic Violence Awareness Month & Indigenous Peoples’ Month, I thought we’d share some facts about domestic violence in the indigenous community. Domestic violence and violent crimes are very prevalent, and many never receive the services they need in order to recover.
Check out our free services at: www.projectsavephilly.com
& continue to educate yourself on both topics as October continues!
