Penn alumni and friends visit the Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg, a medieval castle in Alsace, France. It was used by successive powers from the Middle Ages until the Thirty Years’ War when it was abandoned.

Today Penn alumni and friends visited Strasbourg and its beautiful gothic cathedral. The cathedral is a fine example of gothic architecture and was completed in 1439.
Penn alumni and friends (and our little Quaker!) are touring the quaint villages and vast vineyards of Alsace, France. Last night they enjoyed a lecture from Prof. André Dombrowski on art after the Franco-Prussian War.
