NEW for Fall 2024! Suzuki Group Class with Raymond Mallari and Benjamin Lougheed! Designed for children ages 5-9 who have completed Pre-Twinkle level courses, this class will further develop musicianship skills in the Suzuki approach. We will play music, sing, play musical games, learn rhythm through movement, and build on foundational material from the Pre-Twinkle course. JOIN US FOR OUR OPEN HOUSE ON SEPTEMBER 21st! The Brass & Wind Project at Temple University (BWP) serves students interested in learning the musical skills essential to playing a band instrument. In weekly large and small group classes, fundamental skills will be taught, allowing the student to thrive in a low-pressure and supportive environment.

Grades: 3rd - 5th

Instruments: A variety of simple, beginner friendly plastic instruments designed with the young musician in mind will be provided while the student is registered in the program. These instruments are designed to precede study of flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, and other brass/wind instruments.

The Philadelphia String Project at Temple University (PSP) serves beginning young string (upper & lower) players from the Philadelphia area in this weekly 3-year program incorporating group lessons and string ensembles. Students are taught by a Master Teacher and supported by Temple University undergraduate music education and performance string interns.

No audition or previous musical experience required. Student must provide their own instrument.
