Today for the first time in two years the Western PA Veterans Academic Alliance met at the University of Pittsburgh’s Office of Veteran Services. Lee Wagner of theresilientveteran.org gave a presentation on the latest trends regarding veteran su***de. So far the messaging has helped, it’s down from 22 a day to 17, Rome wasn’t built in a day and creating the environments to de-stigmatize, train and provide targeted su***de prevention is an invaluable asset to the Pitt Vets community. Let’s keep up the fight WPVAA!
