Open Lab will be operating on interim-week hours for the next two weeks! That means we’ll be open 9-5 on all weekdays, and closed (as always) on weekends. This hour change is in effect until May 10.

Congratulations to all graduates, and to everyone for finishing another great year of Pitt!

Steve the Soldering Wizard ( .srg ) bestowed the magic powers of soldering unto the folks who came to his workshop at Open Lab in Hillman Library on Wednesday.

Open Lab opens doors for new skills for Pitt students to cultivate Whether it’s the need for a last minute Christmas gift, a special school project or a few hours to relax in a virtual reality — the Open Lab is equipped to help students with endeavors.

Open Lab's physical locations will resume in-person services beginning Monday, January 31st. Visit us at https://buff.ly/3lxn4pM to get started learning to 3D print, laser cut and engrave, use virtual reality, and more!

Open Lab’s physical spaces are currently closed to anyone other than Open Lab staff, for the duration of the arrival shelter-in-place period.

We are continuing to offer remote services and contactless pickup. Visit our website [www.teaching.pitt.edu/open-lab] to take online trainings for our equipment and software, and to submit remote manufacturing requests.

We look forward to opening our doors again once conditions allow!
