Trying to decide whether to continue with our plans to add vanilla to the new porter before bottling... because it's really good on it's own!
Perhaps we'll add vanilla to half the bottles.
Or... we could just make more!

Brewing up a milk stout on this snowy Sunday. Will get an infusion of cold brewed locally roasted coffee at bottling. 😃🍺☕

Pretty darn chilly this morning... perfect day to brew our winter warmer! And the special spice blend is soaking in bourbon :)

Update on beers-in-process (hehe...BIPs):

"Erik" Hoppy Imperial Red Ale -- Took our first taste test on Thursday, needs another week or so in the bottle to finish carbonating and mellow out. A promising brew though!

"Ursus Arctos" Brown Ale -- One week into fermentation and all is running smoothly. Bottling next week, right on schedule to enjoy by Halloween!

Bottled ERIK tonight! It's a double red, dry hopped with fresh home-grown cascades :)

It's a perfect evening for a Bloomsday!

The backyard hop vines are doing great! With any luck, we'll be able to harvest some fresh hops this year for a special brew :)

The third edition of Bloomsday IPA, while still a little young, was well received. Glad to have had some nice weather and nice people with whom we could enjoy it!

Bottling Bloomsday IPA tonight! Expect it to be ready to enjoy just after the middle of the month. Hopefully the sunshine will have returned by then...
