Nicole is one of our recruitment assistants here on campus! In Nicole's opinion, the best part of working on campus is that you are able to make connections with other students and full-time staff. Also, another thing is that every campus job I've had is super flexible and understands that I am in college.

Isha is a sophomore who has been working with us for a year and a half! Isha has worked in many positions on campus including as a peer mentor and recruitment assistant. In her opinion, the best part of working on campus is that you are able to make so many connections with donors, sponsors, faculty, and staff which is useful now and in the future. It builds professional skills and also your bank account!

"So who are they and why are they emailing me?" We promise it is not a scam, it's normally something important.

1. HireRight. This is the company we use for background checks. To work on campus, you do need to pass a background check.
2. Rebekah Anderson. Rebekah is our Student Employment Coordinator. If she is emailing you, the information is time-sensitive, please don’t ignore them, if you don’t understand, ask questions.
3. Student Employment. This information includes new hire paperwork, application status and reminders. These emails will be task oriented.
4. Service Operations. This email reminds you for upcoming trainings. These emails are sent at the beginning of March.
5. Payroll. Payroll will be contacting you about Direct Deposits updates and anything related to payroll. These are super important if you want to get paid.

If you have some extra professional clothes that you don't wear anymore, consider donating them to the UWP Career Closet! Donations must be in gently-used condition.

The Pioneer Career Closet is located here on campus in the UW-Platteville Career and Professional Development Office in Room 0200, Ullsvik Hall. They are open from 7:45AM - 4:15PM.
