CART UPDATE: Social distancing is essential and required in the fight against COVID-19. With this in mind, riding carts will be very difficult to offer and manage this golf season, and our fleet will not be enough to support single riders. We need your help to make golf available to everyone at our golf courses this spring and summer.

Carts will be limited to those who absolutely need them; all other golfers are asked to walk. For those who need to ride, there will be a limit of no more than 2 carts per group:
-Carts can be shared between individuals in the same household or family.

-Individuals not in the same household or family can share a cart but with only one person riding while the other walks, switching at the turn.

Carts will be available strictly on a first-come, first-served basis by tee time (not arrival time to the course).

Returning to the golf course is always a welcome sign of spring, and this year we appreciate it even more than usual. We are excited to see you back on the course! The health and safety of our guests and staff are the highest priority, so changes to usual operations will be in place to encourage social distancing, reduce touching shared surfaces and decrease face-to-face interaction:

-Please make tee times in advance; booking online is encouraged.
-Transactions will be credit card only.
-Clubhouses at Baker, Eagle and Glen Lake will be open with limited services. Cleary’s clubhouse will remain closed and all transactions will be done through the service window.
-Mats on driving ranges will be spread out to encourage distancing.
-Putting greens will remain closed.
-If you are sick or experiencing respiratory symptoms, do not come to the golf course.

Yesterday, Governor Walz issued an executive order for all Minnesotans to Stay at Home from March 27 at 11:59 PM to April 10 in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. We are committed to doing our part to help protect the health and safety of the community we serve and our employees.

As part of this order, Minnesotans are still able to be outside to get exercise and fresh air. Our parks and trails will remain open as places to recreate and recharge, as long as the social and physical distancing requirements of maintaining 6 feet between others are followed.

All buildings, including restrooms and drinking fountains, will be closed until further notice. Seasonal facilities, including play areas, campgrounds, group camps, golf courses and disc golf are also closed. We will continue to monitor the situation and assess what is feasible to open and when. As happens this time of year, some trails may also need to periodically close due to weather-related impacts. The latest information on what is open and what is closed can be found on our website.

Consistent with the Governor’s orders to extend the distance learning timeframe, all programs, events and reservations will be canceled through Monday, May 4. Guests impacted by these cancellations will be contacted via email or phone with additional information on refunds and rescheduling.

We ask all visitors, especially during the Stay at Home order, to be respectful of others in the park and of the natural resources we are working to protect. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, we ask you to:

* Practice social and physical distancing by maintaining at least 6 feet between yourself and others.

*Come prepared to not have access to restrooms, drinking water or trash disposal.

*Refrain from gathering or congregating in parking lots, entrances or other areas of the parks.

*Leave no trace – please carry your trash out of the park with you for disposal at home. This includes picking up after your dog.

*Keep dogs on a 6-foot leash (except in designated off-leash areas).

*Follow the CDC’s recommended guidelines for personal hygiene and etiquette prior to and during your visit.
Avoid visiting if you are not feeling well or are exhibiting symptoms consistent with a respiratory illness.

Some of our facilities, including dog off-leash areas, require a recreation pass to access. Passes are currently available to purchase online only. We understand that the closure of buildings, facilities and amenities can be challenging, but we appreciate your cooperation. Together we can get through these challenging and uncertain times; thank you for understanding.

For the most up-to-date information on our response to the developing situation around COVID-19, visit our COVID-19 webpage. We have put together answers to some frequently asked questions to help everyone better understand what is available at Three Rivers Parks in the coming weeks.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we all work to help keep our community healthy and safe. We know that spending time outside and getting exercise is good for our physical and mental health, and we are happy to provide these opportunities to the community, especially at important times like these.

Sincerely,

Boe Carlson
Superintendent
Three Rivers Park District

Here are some simple guidelines to keep in mind when taking advantage of Minnesota's beautiful outdoor spaces! Let's all work together to stay happy and healthy!

03/17/2020

Starting tomorrow morning, all of our buildings will be closed to the public through Sunday, April 5. This closure also includes all programs, events and facility reservations. Our parks and trails remain open for people to get out and enjoy!

Program refunds will be automatically applied and staff will be connecting with anyone whose reservation has been impacted.

If you have questions, connect with us at 763.559.6700 or [email protected]. Additional information is also available on our website. www.threeriversparks.org/covid19

03/15/2020

After thoughtful consideration and to help slow the spread of COVID-19, we have decided to cancel all programs scheduled between March 16-31.

This is consistent with the recommendations of Governor Walz and the Minnesota Department of Health. Program fees will be automatically refunded to your account.

While we are cancelling programs, our parks are still open. We encourage people to come out and enjoy nature; going for a hike or a bike ride are great ways to get fresh air while also practicing social distancing.

Please let us know if you have any questions. Our guest services phone lines (763.559.6700) are open 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
