Portland Downtown
Portland Downtown stimulates a vibrant, thriving, and sustainable downtown community.
As a 501c4 nonprofit downtown improvement district, Portland Downtown is funded through a tax assessment paid by property owners within the downtown district. In addition, many of our community events and programs are made possible thanks to the support of generous sponsors.

This vibrant Greetings Tour mural is one of two new side-by-side pieces on Center Street in downtown Portland.
The Greetings Tour is a nationwide public art project by muralist Victor Fung and photographer Lisa Beggs. They have since 2014 collaborated with communities and local artists to create collectible postcard landmarks countrywide. This is their first official mural in Maine as part of the national series.
Inspired by mid-century travel decals from Lindgren Turner Co., this design captures classic Americana and summer road trips. The border extends into the adjacent mural, โHeart Of The City - Vol. 4โ by Rachel and Ryan Adams.
