Enjoy good food, fun fellowship, and dinner-table discussions on issues related to faith and spirituality. All are welcome – come as you are and make some friends!

Dinners are hosted the third Thursday of every month at Masonic Lodge #153 at 4033 Austell Powder Springs Rd. For more information call 770-842-3025.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT ADULT Book and Bible Study
Save the date! Adult Bible Study will resume August 14th at 6 PM in the fellowship hall. We will continue with Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. We will be starting at Book Four. This is a great discussion group to challenge and grow your faith.

“Dear God, we pray for all of those who are preparing for the new school year. Help parents struggling with limited budgets - may they find the resources and help they need. We pray for all faculty and staff who are preparing schools and classrooms. We pray for our students that You will remove their fears, doubts and past hurts and replace them with: Courage, Peace, Faith and Healing. We pray students as they meet new teachers, learn new lessons and make new friends.”

FIRST SUNDAY -- Mission Opportunity -- Sweetwater Mission
August 4th will be our first Mission Sunday. We will worship together, share lunch, and then go out to serve in our Community. There will be an opportunity for everyone, all ages, to serve. This week some will be staying here at church to do some work and others will be going to Sweetwater Mission. Sweetwater needs shelving taken down, painting, and carpet pulled up for their service center. Some of the jobs will be more strenuous but others you will be able to do sitting down. So EVERYONE please plan to join us. It will be an opportunity for us to truly be the hands and feet of Jesus to our neighbors.
YUMMY -- Please bring a covered dish to share for lunch !!

Collaborate with Minister of Music to provide music through hymns, praise music, and specials to support the Sunday worship service. Includes Sundays from 10:30-12:30 and Wednesday 6:30-8:00.
Ability to read and play sheet music and cords. Experience playing both contemporary and traditional worship music. Organ experienced would be a plus/bonus.

"If we are devoted to the Lord, we become aligned with Him. If we stand against Him, we can be persuaded to turn toward Him. But Jesus claimed that tepid faith leaves us somewhere in the middle - halfway seeking God, and halfway trying to hold on to control of our own lives. And we end up with a compromised form of Christianity."

What Is a Lukewarm Christian and Why Is It Dangerous? Being lukewarm in our faith is a red flag, signaling that our hearts are not where they should be. In fact, God makes a strong statement about those who go down this path in the Old Testament book of Isaiah.
