There were once two men. One was named Punja, the other was Janpu. Both men were married, had children, a hut and a farm to care for their families.
They were both unhappy with their living situation, for their families were growing larger while their home stayed the same tiny huts.
Both knew it would be difficult, but both knew the investment would be worth it in the long run for their longevity.

After months of planning, they both harvested their crops and purchased the tools necessary for the venture.

Punja was wise and used was NEEDED for the job, while Janpu got what he THOUGHT he needed.

Punja purchased mortar, wood & brick then placed his tools in sections in his large storage shed (which was far from the future house). He then planned to rent hauling equipment to aid in transporting the equipment to and from the building site.

Janpu knew the process of construction, but was foolish in his preparation. He purchased the same tools (he even had the same shed) but his supplies from harvest had cluttered his shed leaving him with the choice to be lazy, and just leave his tools lying around. Janpu did not feel renting hauling equipment was necessary (though the distance between his shed and house was the same as Punja's); his children would simply help him haul everyday.

Needless to say, after 6 months of daily planning and work Punja and his family live in a beautiful new home. Janpu's poor family lives in what looks like an 'incomplete project'.

Now what does THIS have to do with fitness? Easy.

The 'Construction' is your weight loss journey. The 'house' is your body (obviously under construction). The meal plan/supplements are the 'tools'-- the storage shed is your fat (which 'stores' excess energy), the mortar & brick is your protein and finally your 'hauling equipment' is your carbohydrates (which deliver energy to your body).

Punja is an example of someone who exercises, yet DOES NOT neglect ALL their nutrients-- they trust that their proper eating will help them lose the weight (and why not? Punja planned for EVERY DAY OF WORK!).
Janpu did not trust that his meal plan would DO the job, so he made two major FLAWS: he trusted his children to haul FOR him (which was two mistakes: no hauling equipment means NO CARBS, which prevents protein from getting to the muscles and SECONDLY never depend on anyone for your weight loss), and he did not plan properly so the project took FAR longer than he knew it should have!

1. Trust your meal plans/ nutrient breakdowns!
2. Plan work for EVERY DAY and LOG IT!
