DiamondFit Performance is a baseball strength and conditioning program designed to train athletes in ways that directly translate to the movements performed on the diamond.
Attention athletes‼️ DFP will be closed on Saturday 8/10 for the meet!
Cages will still be open, but there will be no strength or speed classes held on Saturday.

TRAINING IN A HEAT WAVE…
Here are some tips when you can’t beat the heat ☀️
👕 think about the clothing you’re training in! Weather indoors or outdoors, opt for sweat-wicking materials to help keep you cool and allow your body to regulate its temperature.
🍎 if you find yourself trying to train with low energy, consider a small snack of a whole food like fruit with natural sugar a short while before your training to promote optimal energy levels during your workout.
💧Hydrate hydrate HYDRATE, and add in an electrolyte source like salt, or a pre-mixed pack like Liquid IV, to help replenish vital lost minerals from sweating.
🌤️ if possible, train outside of direct sunlight or where shade is accessible during breaks to help regulate your body temperature during your workouts. Consider training in the mornings or evenings when temperatures are cooler!

There are many drills that we like to do on the treadmill. The “holds” that Graham Wike (2023) is doing in this video have many benefits. They allow the athlete to maintain proper posture and work on their cycles and turnover rate without worrying about falling off. Graham makes it seem easy but they’re tougher than they look.
