High schoolers! We’ve got our last hangout of the summer! 🥲 it’s a Beach Bonfire! We will meet at 5202 Orange Ave to leave at 2pm and be back around 6pm. We are so proud of our students! They gave up 3 days of their Spring Break to do some Placemaking in City Heights for Mission Week 2021 - they painted, framed, drilled, installed shade sails, painted and installed mural panels, and installed and decorated seating areas at , amongst other things.
When some people talk about Generation Z, they don't have a lot of positive things to say. They don't know our students. These young folks showed up, stacked hands, had a blast, and are making a difference in their neighborhood. We are so thankful for them and so encouraged by who they are. The future is bright, y'all!
