Hey mom, raise your hand if you could use a nap right about now.
There's absolutely no shame in putting yourself down for a nap too!
Taking a nap can refuel you giving you the boost of energy and clarity you need to finish off the day STRONG! Don't underestimate the power of a good nap.
It's important to conduct regular breast self-exams at home to stay aware of any changes in your breast tissue.
If you are a breastfeeding mommy, it's important to note that there could be a number of changes that could be alarming but are perfectly normal such as cysts or galactoceles (milk-filled cysts).
(Find out more information at breastcancernow.org)
If you have any concerns, always make an appointment with your healthcare provider to address any questions or changes.

Feeling overwhelmed is a natural feeling when it comes to motherhood. There are a few practical things to do when you are feeling overwhelmed.
Here are 5 things to do when you feel overwhelmed:
1. Schedule 1-3 hours of Personal Time
2. Practice Mindfulness/Breathing Activities
3. Brain Dump Everything on Your Mind
4. Consider Starting Therapy
5. Plan Some (non-productive) Fun in Your Schedule
These feelings will come! Having a plan and ideas to tackle overwhelm will make it easier to push through. You got this, momma!
Hey mommies. We want you to know that it is natural to feel overwhelmed as a mom. We've all been there and may even feel this way right now!
To help you navigate through feelings of overwhelm, communicate with a friend about what you are feeling. Also, take some time to care for you. Sometimes, all you need is a small moment to breathe or accomplish one self-care task and it can make all the difference.
This may ruffle some feathers, but motherhood is only as difficult as you make it.
It's easy to get down on yourself when you compare your motherhood journey to someone else's. Everyone's journey is different. Relinquish yourself from those expectations and enjoy YOUR parenting journey.
I believe we are graced for our particular challenges and when we make time to intentionally seek help and care for ourselves and our children, it helps ease the load of motherhood.
You're doing great, mama!
We want to take the time to educate you on this topic and ways to prevent it.
First, we want you to know that you are very important and your life matters. You are not alone on this journey.

Kids need structure. Providing structure for our kids lets them know what to expect for the day and keeps them peaceful, as well!
That's why most children can thrive and learn well in spaces such as school and daycare because the days are usually predictable.
Determine what you and your child need on a daily basis and create a schedule that will give everyone peace of mind.
Oftentimes, we don't know what we are missing in our self-care until we are really feeling the weight of our responsibilities. We have to make the time to see what is missing and what is needed to be refreshed.
At our self-care workshop, we took the time to assess where we were as mommies and where we needed to be. We then created a plan to improve our self-care, making us more present and effective mothers.
Give it a try and see how you can adjust your schedule to incorporate self-care.
When was the last time you were intentional about your self-care?

When you are going through postpartum changes, the day-to-day tasks seem daunting. As an entrepreneur, it was hard to muster up the courage and desire to work in my business.
My encouragement to entrepreneurs who are going through postpartum changes is to take your time. Have the support you need in business and at home to keep things going as much as possible without your hands directly in it.
This postpartum journey takes time. Try not to rush the process, but do the very best you can to remain present in your journey.

Experts recommend regular self-breast exams as one of the best practices for early detection.
Here are a few helpful tips:
Set a reminder on your phone to carry out a breast self-exam, ensuring you choose a few days after your period or anytime if you no longer have your period.
Doing your exam lying down or in the shower could make it easier to feel any changes.
Your breast tissue changes with age and anything that feels different or unusual should be cause for concern.
Contact your Healthcare Provider if you notice anything unusual or have any concerns about your breast health.
Prioritize your breast health today and take the necessary steps to ensure your overall well-being. Be sure to share this post with a friend.
Many experts agree that having meaningful friendships in your life increase your overall well-being.
Having a sense of belonging decreases the risk of depression and help minimize feelings of stress.
Take the time to cultivate meaningful relationships -even when you don't feel like it. It will be beneficial for you and your wellness.
Type 💯 if you agree!
We don't always get it right as moms. The house won't always be clean, the meals won't always be organic, and some days, the tv screen becomes the babysitter.
And that's ok.
Give yourself grace. It's not easy to do all that you do, and yet, you still do it well. Accept grace, give grace, and keep it moving.
It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In the month of October, we take the time to bring awareness to breast cancer and educate ourselves on breast health.
This month, let's take the time to show our support as we continue to believe for a cure. Remember, when it comes to breast cancer, early detection is key.
Visit breastcancer.org for a step-by-step guide on how to conduct regular self-exams.
As moms, it's important that we understand how to communicate our needs effectively. If we don't communicate our needs, they can be left unmet. Here are 4 ways to help with communication:
1. Be Clear on What Your Needs Are.
Take a moment to be clear on what it is you truly need.
2. Communicate From a Place of Calm.
Emotions can get in the way of communicating clearly. Try to be as calm as possible.
3. Give Practical Steps for Support.
Give clear instructions/expectations on how they can help you in the most effective way.
4. Thank Them for Listening.
Make sure they know that you appreciate their willingness to provide a helping hand.

As moms, we can oftentimes feel forgotten...even we forget about us sometimes!
When the baby comes, everyone is eager to see, meet, and purchase items for the baby.
As moms, we can often be so consumed with our never-ending to-do list, that we neglect our own basic needs.
Moms need love, too! We need to be cared for, checked on, and given the resources to be effective and present moms.
Show a mom you care for her, today! Let her know she's important and ask for ways you can support her.
When it comes to being a healthy mommy raising healthy kids, it's something that you absolutely cannot do alone. Having a support system is key to maintaining your sanity as a mom. That support system may look differently for each of us, but it is needed. Mommy, you were not meant to go on this motherhood journey alone.
How do you get encouragement on a regular basis? Share your favorite mommy support resource.

Baby is almost here and it's time to make sure you have what you need to make the process as smooth as possible. Here are 3 ways to prep for postpartum:
1. Plan your nursing and feeding station - It's important that you are as comfortable as possible while nursing. Fill your station with items to stay hydrated, nourished, and relaxed.
2. Find a Recommended Pediatrician - Baby will need to be seen as soon as 2 weeks old for a check-up. Take away the stress by securing a pediatrician beforehand.
3. Have Some Meals Prepped - After giving birth, the last thing that may be on your mind is cooking. Having meals prepared ahead of time makes everything a little easier.

You may be experiencing Postpartum Depression and you're wondering when you'll feel like yourself again.
For one person, they felt better after 3 months. Another mom overcame it by month 15.
The truth is, sometimes you just don't snap out of it.
Sometimes it will take longer (or shorter) for you than it did for others...and that's ok! You have access to support no matter how long or short it takes you to come out of postpartum depression. Be gentle with yourself as you navigate through this time.
But know that you will NOT feel like this forever. Get some sun, take your vitamins, enjoy your self-care and schedule someone to help you with the baby. Sometimes the little things make the world of difference.
