The word "healing" is thrown around a lot.
But what does it mean to "heal"?
Sometimes it's as simple as a new perspective.
And other times, it's therapy, journaling, meditating, Network Spinal.
But healing doesn't have to be another hustle.
Between the different diets, different modalities, exercise regimen, products, and services that offer you opportunities for healing, we can step back and ask our body what it needs. Is it creating healing or just more stress?
And that can be moment to moment.
Our bodies are dynamic by design, we may need to change what we eat, how/when we exercise, types of mediating, etc.
And again, if we don't make time for being in the moment and present with what is in our bodies and environments, adhering to a strict regime may also interfering with the healing we need.

The word TRAUMA has almost become a buzz word.
I think it's an important topic to talk about but I'm curious, what are we actually naming when we use the word trauma?
Are we naming the response to it?
Are we naming how it shapes us?
Are we naming how we can heal?
We all have trauma on some level. Some of us have experienced very horrific events and some of us have trauma in repetitive everyday occurrences.
Essentially, trauma is when there is too much information or stimulus and the nervous system gets overloaded and goes into a protective or traumatic response.
By information, I mean, actual information like stories, but it can also mean chemicals, experiences, like war or violence, all things that the nervous system views as something more than it can process or digest so it stores it in our system.
And now whenever that same information, whatever that may be, is encountered, the nervous system may or may not respond.
And again, it comes down to our individual, unique systems, and what we are able to digest, and how we interpret these experiences.

Looking deeper than what's on the surface.
There are certain responses and reactions that aren't simple to explain.
For example, if someone has an allergic reaction to almost everything, it doesn't mean they don't have allergies to specific things. It has just become muddied in an environment that can't adapt and have discerning responses.
But when it's not clear on what your body is responding to then it's time to connect deeper to connect to what else is going on.
For example, someone may notice reactions to various types of foods and therefore avoid them.
To an observer, they may be labelled picky.
But underneath they are managing the protective response of their nervous system, in this case to foods.
Your nervous system is intelligent. Out of habit or overwhelm it can have overgeneralized responses ongoing that become difficult to feel good in our bodies and lives.
And this is where Network Spinal comes in. Stimulating your nervous system to optimize its healing and discernment can crate whole new ways of responding in our beings and person hood.

It's important to recognize that trauma is organized in your nervous system in a way unique to you, influenced by many other factors.
Therefore, healing trauma is specific to your nervous system as well. So is all healing.
