This photo slays me...even before the accident I thanked god daily for being blessed with this beautiful partner in my life. She is my best friend and love of my life. She has NEVER liked a toy, but my dear sister/friend Andrea White Pilates came with her gorgeous daughter Veronica and convinced Shorty she needed it for healing. And it's helping!!! Thank you everyone for your continued support. This continues to be a sh-t show but we would NOT be able to get through this if it wasn't for your rides, food, dough, laughter, presence etc. WE are healing. WE are grateful.

Hey all...this has been an exhausting but good day. Shorty was cleared for minimal walks and rehab from home. Yesterday when we woke up - I played our little game where I take her paw and she takes it away and puts it on my hand. Her right side is ok but not the left- paralyzed. I did it with her left paw today...she put it on my hand. I took her outside. She stood- for the first time...like a baby deer...on ALL FOUR limbs. I cried. No phone. No recording. She walked over the grass like a little drunk person and did 1 and 2 and I was amazed. She is walking - with difficulty but walking.
Unfortunately- she's like her mom. I swear this dog has my DNA somehow - stubborn and impatient. She is trying to jump and take steps and the neuroligist said - you have to keep her in a crate. She WANTS to run and jump ( just like me) but I know better and she doesn't. We can't - right now...but we will!++
Our journey is just beginning but knowing she is ok and on the mend is amazing. We still know nothing about the other driver as the police report is not available.
It's painful physically and emotionally but I'm surrendering to the idea that this is just another opportunity to learn and grow. I'm looking forward to a time when all of these lessons decide to take a gap year and I just have a minute to breath- and be calm. 2020+++ is just education and growing and trials and two steps forward and 15 steps back. 10 steps forward and 18 steps back.
I'm horrible at math. Let us just be. Thank you for your continued support and love. ...can't wait for when I'm grown again and can just be with my babe and my life and stay simple.
