A Keep Dreaming Big Project update! ❤️
We've been busy granting Wishes through our nonprofit partner agencies:
🌟 January 2024
Personal Independence Wish
We had the incredible opportunity to grant a life-changing Wish of adult driving lessons and exam fees for a parent with small children. The parent then wrote and drew the most precious Thank You note - we have it framed!
Some regions of the country have better public transportation than others. Gaining the independence of driving can mean the difference between freedom or dependency on others - including an abuser.
As someone who didn't get their own drivers license until adulthood because of living in an abusive home as a teen, this Wish was extra special to me personally 💕

Family Fun Wish!
A parent and three small children were granted their Wish of attending the "Bely y Beto" live show at the Toyota Music Factory.
This Wish was special because Bely y Beto were one of the small joys they could experience together while living in a violent household. Singing along to the songs had been something this parent and children turned to during difficult times and when away from their abuser.
To find safety and then see the live show together helped create new core memories for this family.

Relational trauma survivors internally struggle and are intensely uncomfortable when life is going well. Trauma causes the luxury of naivety to be lost and it's challenging to live with - but we can learn to enjoy good seasons in life without waiting for the next issue or potential harm to come along

It's incredible to celebrate 15 years of business ownership and entrepreneur life. So many thanks and appreciation to all who were an incredible blessing along the way - and also gratitude to those who attempted to sabotage because your efforts only made me dig in deeper and grow personally.
I could not have ever envisioned where this path would have gone. Thank you for all the generous and genuine support ~ Shannon

New Post - "I Tried To Be A Good Victim"
I honestly tried to be a good victim. I truly wanted to be a good victim, but for over two years, I failed ~ Shannon Thomas
I tried to be a "good victim" - Southlake Christian Counseling I honestly tried to be a “good victim.” I truly wanted to be a good victim, but for over two years, I failed. I could see it and, worse, feel it happening in real time. Watching myself fail at being what people wanted me to be so I could be heard was like frantically circling […]
