Good evening, GLOW families and friends,

I regret to inform you that GLOW will remain closed tomorrow, 8/20.

Despite working diligently all day with licensing, our property management team, outside contractors, and various other agencies, we still have some health and safety concerns that must be resolved before we can reopen. We are hopeful to resume regular hours on Wednesday, 8/21, but will send another update tomorrow afternoon after reassessing with our licensor.

We understand this unexpected closure has caused significant inconvenience for many families, and we sincerely apologize. The safety of your children remains our top priority, and we are committed to ensuring a secure environment for them.

Thank you for your understanding,
GLOW Admin

Hello Glow family and friends,

This morning, our cleaner alerted us to a leak in our infant room. Upon further investigation, we discovered that the issue was more serious than we initially thought, prompting us to turn off the water to the entire facility to prevent any additional damage. As a result, we had to close our doors today to assess and address the problem.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please know that if there had been any way to keep the facility open, we absolutely would have done so.

Today, the Glow administration has been working diligently alongside the fire department, a plumber, contractors, and licensing authorities. At this time, we are waiting on an update regarding when we can safely reopen. We will keep you informed as soon as we have more information.

Thank you all for your support and patience as we navigate this situation. We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for your children and will keep you updated on our progress.

Time has gotten away from us a bit! We have some thank you's to send out to community partners who have helped support GLOW over the last six weeks. We already knew we had an amazing community around us and here's some proof. There are so many good people in the world 💗

Last Tuesday, our friend and Windsong School teacher, Lauren Bergstedt, brought one of her many talents to GLOW Children Early Learning Center. She shared a beautiful and gentle story with our families who gathered in the evening to honor Wesley. Lauren handmakes all the gorgeous felt puppets and wrote the story she presented. Thank you, Lauren, for your generosity of spirit and time. We appreciate you. 💗

This appeared in The Spokesman-Review on February 8, 2024. Kiantha is dear friend of GLOW’s and many other non-profits. We often look to her for wisdom, help and support. This question was sent in before the events of the past few weeks but she has quietly and fiercely been an advocate for our GLOW family recently too. You are beautiful inside and out, Kiantha Duncan. Thank you for being a champion with a heart of gold.

Wesley loved Pete the Cat books, which are known for the phrase "Goodness no!" He would say it often enough that staff would sometimes say it to each other.

Tonight, we said out loud, "will we ever forget you, Wesley?"

And we replied loudly, "Goodness no!"

Together, we can get through hard things.

02/17/2024

Tonight, we celebrated Wesley's life with songs, stories, books and art. Thank you to the community who keeps his spirit alive and at the front of our hearts. Wesley was a beautiful child with a huge joyful smile. He knew love and he will be missed.
