Last Friday at Hope House, our cooking class whipped up a delicious fresh fruit salad with an amazing yogurt/cream cheese dipping sauce on the side. Huge thanks to our awesome kitchen supervisor Dulcie and Lorie for assisting!
Hope House Hands of Hope - "Where every handprint is a mark of triumph" Check out the newest addition to the entry at Hope House. This wall will soon be full of handprints (and paw prints) from the individuals we house! 100 were housed last year, and we're already halfway there this year. We’re excited to share that Farm 2 Veteran just delivered a freezer and 300 lbs of steaks and ground beef from 6T Ranch to our vets' program on National Beef Day! A huge shoutout to Darren Hinen of 6T Ranch for making this possible. You guys are downright AMAZING!

Today is , the day when federal troops arrived in Galveston, TX in 1865 to take control of the state and free those who were still enslaved, effectively abolishing slavery in the U.S. Today, VOA Eastern Washington walks alongside the Black community in commemorating and celebrating this rich history. Let us continue to honor Black culture and its impact on our collective history beyond Juneteenth.
Our GED program has 15 graduates! Three of our current graduates will attend Spokane Community College pursing various trades and their AA degrees. We have one student who will be attending college for their pharmacy technician certification, and one who is ready to join the workforce.

VOA is so excited to be among this year’s Numerica Charitable Fund grant recipients! This $15,000 grant will support the amazing work done at Alexandria's House. In total, Numerica Credit Union donated $372,000 to enhance lives, fulfill dreams, and build communities through this year’s grant program!

The VOA leadership team recently toured the new CHAS clinic on Mission. This clinic is situated on the same land as the new Crosswalk shelter, showcasing a significant collaboration between VOA and CHAS. This partnership highlights our shared commitment to providing comprehensive support and services to the community, integrating healthcare and shelter resources in one accessible location.
