Thursday and Friday allowed our group in Japan to fully immerse in the culture of Japan. Thursdayโs day trip to Nara included experiencing the Deer Park and several temples and shrines. Fridayโs day trip was focused on compassion with a day trip to Hiroshima. Before visiting the Peace Park and Museum, the group stopped at a local Catholic Church for prayer. โGod, Father and Mother of this world, we come to you from the midst of a broken world where nations raise weapons against nations and mothers and children are the innocent victims of violence. We pray that you would inspire us to create a peaceful world. Help us call our leaders to accountability and to remind them that more weapons and war do not bring peace. Make us a peaceful people in a peaceful world. Amen.โ

We are saddened to announce that Sr. Barbara McInturff, a past member of the Notre Dame High School community, passed away on May 13, 2024. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, May 20, in the Theresa Center Chapel. The gathering will begin at 9:30 a.m., memories will be shared at 10:45 a.m., and the Mass will be at 11:15 a.m. Contributions to the School Sisters of Notre Dame are appreciated.
We are excited to announce that we are bringing a House system to Notre Dame High School beginning today! We have 8 Houses each named after a female saint whom we felt called to represent. Each of our shirts has a crest on the back that symbolizes our saint, as well as the laurel leaves to show our unity as Notre Dame Rebels.
The purpose of the House system is to enhance our mission to build confident, compassionate, Christian leaders, to encourage camaraderie among the grade levels, and to provide opportunities for leadership and teamwork skills to grow in all our students.
Each House has two senior leaders and gathers twice a month for meetings. We compete with each other in a variety of ways (singing contests, decorating doors contests, athletic contests, STEM contests, etc.) to showcase the talents and abilities of all the members of each House. Service plays a pivotal role in our Houses with our leaders reaching out to a variety of institutions, seeking ways to make our community a better place.
Prepping for finals and summer vacation with studying and snacks โ๏ธ๐๐ด
