OSU Space Cowboys

I told myself I was just going to enjoy the spectacle, but with about a minute to go I couldn't help myself and grabbed my camera to grab a few pics before totality ended. Glad I spent the first few minutes reveling in the celestial majesty, but glad I relented and grabbed some quick photos of my own. The cosmic ballet continues!

Clouds all morning with brief glimpses at C1 then cleared minutes before start of totality. Great launches, outreach, and interviews. Awesome event with great Choctaw hospitaltiy!

Outreach is a big part of the NASA Nationwide Eclipse Ballooning Project. We are lucky to have NASA scientist Geoff Bland as part of team to discuss AEROKATS and ROVER as part of the AREN program.

Our first drone flights on site to compare with the balloon observations.

Argonia capstone team - Space Cowboys. Took 3rd place in competition last weekend losing out to Purdue and SWOSU. Their two-stage rocket reached an altitude of 3,698 feet with a payload of 210 golf balls. Their rocket was custom designed and built from scratch including wound carbon fiber tubes.

This week the Space Cowboys - Cowboy Rocketworks had the amazing opportunity to launch 2 high-power rockets for the NASA Oklahoma Space Grant Consortium's K12 STELLAR program.

Along with the launches we presented information about high-powered rocketry, STEM education, OpenRocket, and what we do at to enhance the STELLAR rocket segment.
