Since the creation of AHAT Homecare, we have served over 400 households. We appreciate all the support from the community.

The wrap around care that we offer to our clients supports their complex needs including mental health challenges, substance use disorders and other medical diagnoses.

Did you know that the current folks we serve are ages 26-65 years old with 60% being 55 years of age or older? Find out more about our services online with AHAT Homecare.

Did you know? AHAT Homecare serves individuals living with HIV/AIDS who have extremely low incomes (30% average median income or below) and many of whom were homeless at intake.

One of our programs is Project Open Door. We aim to provide housing first solutions to people living with HIV/AIDS. With housing also comes access to wrap around care solutions for residents.

FAQ: 2/3rds of our residents return to their communities after successfully graduating from our programs where they receive connections to healthcare, medication management and life skills development.

AHAT Homecare is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation registered in the State of Washington. Financial support comes from City, State and Federal grants. The community, our sponsors and volunteers still provide much-needed financial support.

AHAT Homecare provides help to people with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C in Washington State. We offer affordable housing and access to healthcare for residents and the community in three programs – Three Cedars, Project Open Door and Healthy Living.

AHAT Homecare's Project Open Door program focuses on moving chronically homeless individuals into safe, affordable housing in Tacoma and Fircrest.

Through Project Open Door residents receive:

+chemical dependency group support
+life-skill training
+mental health services
+nutritional education

Today, AHAT oversees the daily operations of Project Open Door. This program is part of the continuum of care for homelessness in Pierce County.
